A group of friends got together on zoom this week for meditation. It’s amazing but we too also talked about awe. We too found that we need to walk through this time with persistence and purpose mixed with wonder and awe to survive this horrible time in our country and in the world. Trying to keep alert and also to get deep rest so we can recharge amd do the next right thing to defend our democracy.

I would also suggest that those of us who are so inspired to get active and join a movement (that promotes our general welfare of course), also unite in strategic and persistent nonviolent resistance with the hundreds of different other progressive groups. In other words, everyone works for their own organizations AND everyone unites with all the others to end corporate personhood, because until it is stopped, the oligarchs and morbidly wealthy psychopaths will continue to use their human assets (our elected officials, the super propagandists, and our poorly educated) to quash the amazing efforts of our best Americans. The good news is that with a united force of 12 million motivated and truly patriotic citizens, and the wonders of technology, the changes we need to make America into a role model democracy are possible to implement in fairly short order. I used 12 million because that is the number Professor Erica Chenoweth might have predicted based in her remarkable research that shows how people can compel their badly behaving governments to stop behaving badly and do it with persistent nonviolent resistance and the 3.5% solution.
