This is almost exactly what Sotomayor's dissent in Trump v. United States warned about last year. WOW. The Court didn't just fail to stop THIS, people. SCOTUS built the legal cover for it. "Presumptive immunity for official acts" is one of those just enough that it turns "agents assaulting protestors and force-feeding hunger strikers"

into

"the president directing federal enforcement. " And once nobody above him has to answer for the difference, then any real distinction stops mattering LEGALLY.

The uniforms and the tech are new but the new part that scares me is that six justices spent a term last year making sure there's no legal floor left underneath it... We need to look at the Supreme Court discussion if they were different lens so it doesn't create more of the partisan problems. We don't want them to lean either way... Their entire purpose is to make sure that things are not politicized and that is essential to any working functioning democracy. We need to start spreading the word on how it got there... Believe it or not it's, there's a strategic way to do it that will get bipartisan support from the citizenry and the post on how to get there is worth reading next to this one: https://uncomfortable.rxansmithmedia.com/p/nine-robes-no-shame-the-united-states

This is the administration that has managed to fuse psychotic and despotic into a single pathologically perverse juggernaut of terror. Like a hurricane, ICE spawns tornadoes of independently acting impostors, who recognize a criminal opportunity when they see one. What is the DOJ doing? Persecuting anyone who has tried to bring Trump to justice. We are living in the Joker's universe.

So the Commie Reich On The Potomac has followed Moscow's orders and reduced all races, colors, and creeds to what the Constitution encoded as slaves, i.e., "Other Persons."

Hence, with extrajudicial impunity, they can shoot a White Minneapolis mother once in the head, twice in the chest, and once in the forearm. Or a defenseless Veterans Administration [also White] ICU nurse three times in the back, once in the neck, another in the chest "while he is held down" in the street.

The Gov't then plays a game of hide-the-salami with their killer dicks, I mean "agents."

So now we're all 3/5 of a person... Wow. Wait till I tell Mom.

Putin’s puppet and his band of depraved oligarchs, along with a corps of gullible fools, are destroying America at an accelerating pace. Schumercrats and his entrenched corporate pals are assisting the GOP (Grifters Oligarchs Predators) by undermining anyone to their left with propaganda, outright lies, false equivalencies, while begging for donations to underwrite their warped efforts and campaigning with AIPAC-supporting hypocrites. We need Democrats who elevate supporting and defending democracy over limiting entrance into their tidy, shriveling club.

We currently have two military forces running simultaneously in the US, one run out the Pentagon and the other being ICE.

As the Pentagon one comes to Congress seeking more funding for its “skirmish” against Iran, I am still waiting to hear a Democratic congressman facetiously propose taking money from ICE to fund the Pentagon request. Perhaps they don’t see a connection.

This was almost too fucking outrageous to get through, but I managed. The question now: Is it too late to dismantle what is rapidly becoming a surveillance state? How does one fight against the powers-that-be? Are they in control, or do we still have the means to surmount and defeat the threat? It's a serious question, and I for one have serious doubts. But let's hope I'm wrong.

Those are exactly my concerns; have we let the powers-that-are get away with too much, to where we are now like the cooked crabs that don't know what happened? I feel like it's too late in the game to do anything before the midterms, and doubt that they will be allowed to occur anyway.

We'll find out on election day.

Well, Thom, I’m inspired to write to my congress person , and possibly others, but don’t know the best approach, so I wonder if your readers would like to comment (or add or detract - or condemn) what I’ve written. Here goes:

"As you well know, indeed, as everyone knows - but no one seems to give a damn - President Donald Trump has withdrawn pre-allocated funds from states that did not vote for him. A child could see that this is biased and 100% political. It is also illegal, unconstitutional, immoral, unethical, and no president (of either party) could ever have gotten away with it - or would have had the gall to even try (Of course, no other president had the Supreme Court and Republican Congress in his back pocket.)

I write, hoping that you have the courage and the integrity to raise your voice in Congress and criticize this action (and Congress’ acceptance of it) in no uncertain terms. I’ll be watching and listening, and not expecting a form letter back explaining why you couldn’t take action. "

Moral Decline In America?

Morality of a society goes beyond political party, power, or money.

But what happens to a society that governs itself and it excuses the inexcusable? What happens when the largest sex trafficking in American history is dismissed to protect the guilty? What happens when your Congressional representative allows a person who denies a leader’s electoral victory? And what happens when a society votes for a liar to be the leader of the country? What happens when a group in a society accepts that their leader is immorally fit for office? What happens when the institution that supports the laws decides that morality is not important? What happens when people decide elections can be bought?

If that is the society WE the People believe WE have then WE are doomed. MSM may not cover the morality of the US but by polling WE are incensed with what OUR country has become. WE can decide and I would submit that outraged Americans expect more from those who expect to lead our country.

WE expect accountability of OUR government or those representing us will be voted out of office. WE will not accept $$$ to buy elections just because it’s expedient. America is at a moral tipping point when OUR decisions go beyond political party. Voting is how WE the People will correct our moral compass. And WE will use OUR sphere of influence to help make OUR course change because that’s not who WE are.
