The GOP has a terminal primary tumor from inhaling too many Russian and Oligarchal fumes.

Putin. Ron Lauder. Senator Cotton. Tulsi. Mitch. Murdoch. Musk. Thiel. Kochs. Mercers. Roberts. Thomas. Garland. And too many more to mention.

We need an operation. STAT !!!

We have an open window of opportunity.

If we can get three (3) Republicans, we can issue subpoenas, hold hearings.

Jerry Weiss scenario. https://jerryweiss.substack.com/

On Thursday, the Senate voted to advance a bill that would stop the Trump administration from additional attacks on Venezuela without congressional approval. The vote was 52–47 with five Republicans joining all the Democrats to move the measure forward. Republicans killed a similar measure in November, but Trump’s enormously unpopular incursion into Venezuela and threats against Greenland prompted five Republicans to reassert congressional authority over military action. CNN called it “a notable rebuke of the president.”

The five Republicans voting for the bill were Susan Collins of Maine, Josh Hawley of Missouri, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Rand Paul of Kentucky, and Todd Young of Indiana.

Immediately, Trump posted on social media that the five “should never be elected to office again.” By reasserting the power of Congress, he wrote, they were “attempting to take away our Powers to fight and defend the United States of America.”

Trump is in a pickle. Here is Baghdad By the Sea, at least one House MAGAT, my rep, opposes him on immigration. Many other House Republicans oppose him on the Epstein coverup. Others on the Obamacare issue. It's up to us to convince more to join them.

In Minnesota Congressional Republicans need to be pressured. We need to contact their donors. Local businesses. Local Holy Joes. Picket. Sit in.

The current Republican U.S. representatives for Minnesota are:

District 1: Brad Finstad (since August 12, 2022)

District 6: Tom Emmer (since January 3, 2015)

District 7: Michelle Fischbach (since January 3, 2021)

District 8: Pete Stauber (since January 3, 2019)

I wold like to see an article on all o fthe ways that they stole the election in2024

I've read about ghost counties, in Florida, conties that don't exist reporting votes.

A county in upstate NY that had 0 votes for Kamala

And Pennsylvania is a blatant case (yet Gov Shapiro has done nothing)

And there is voter caging (scrubbing the roles of voters)

Poll watchers

reducing ballot boxes, voting machines, and moving voting machines to inaccessible, if you don't have a vehicle areas.

Voter registration laws, vote counting laws and practices

MAGA election commissions, which are going to be a real problem now, in places like San Bernadino Co, CA where independent commissioners were run out of office with threats on their lives, to be replaced by MAGAts.

All considered 2026, much less 2028 is going to be an uphill battle, and ti will take almost a 100% turn out by people who will vote the Democratic ticket.

Meanwhile I sure would like to see a catalog of all the means used to steal the election

A suit has been filed in the WDPA sking for an investigation. I've worn out my welcome on PACER, but someone can get it. It's in the early pleading stage.

This is the organization behind it. https://electiontruthalliance.org/guest-interview-videos/

Jessica Denson is the expert on this subject. She has been boycotted by MSM and especially Meidas. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vxl5Qwzkg-s

Here's what I've been posting and you've been ridiculng. I askled Thom and others to interview this guy and others.

“Those who vote decide nothing. Those who count the vote decide everything.”

― Joseph Stalin

I ask the rhetorical question: Did Trump admit Musk stole Pennsylvania?

Has even MSNBC adressed the fact that allegations about voter fraud in Pa were buried by an incoming Republican state AG?

Has MSM ever mentioned the internal election audit that was performed?

“In December 2024, I was personally involved in an NSA‑authorized forensic audit of the 2024 election. Kamala Harris and Tim Walz won—by a wide margin. Trump lost dramatically. There are multiple layers of complexity to this cover‑up, including transnational organized crime syndicates that extend far beyond the United States and our elections. To that point, I work in the human trafficking sector, which intersects with the stolen election(s) and has ties to Trump and Epstein—not to President Biden, Vice President Harris, or Governor Walz, but to the Democrats and other allied interests responsible for burying the audit.” — Adam Zarnowski, ex-CIA agent and author of Jörmungandr

I hope that you don't expect Thom, Velshi or anyone who gets your emails to drop everything else and attend to you immediately, and if they don't they are part of the problem. There is so much going on, and so much of immediate importance that it is humanly impossible to attend to every crisis or outrage.

Why don't you, since you have the interest and resources.

Catalog all of the incidents of voter suppression and vote stealing, and publish it on your own substack.

I would, if I had the access, knowledge, sources and resources, like you.

Therre is lot more than just those that you listed. listing them sans editorializing makes them readable.

To ensure your vote counts, vote early and vote often.

That is the only way to stop this election meddling. As I mentioned before, I always mail in my vote the day I get it in the mail. That way I have ample time to validate it if rejected. Florida rejects on the basis of signature matches with the voter registration document. I am sure Florida hires an army of handwriting experts to review each mailed-in ballot. Likewise, if you show up to vote during early voting, there might be time to re-register if you have been arbitrarily purged and turned away.

The cure for voting by mail is to replace signatures with a fingerprint. We have the technology. Hell, my Mercedes lets me lock the car with a thumbprint on the external door handle, and my cellphone lets me unlock the phone with a thumbprint. Another alternative is to scan a driver's license or state-issued voter ID card. Every time I go to pick up new medicine, the local military base pharmacy scans my DOD ID to ensure it is me. My civilian pharmacy scans my VISA card as validation. Why can't state voting polls use those devices as a backup?

You are in Florida. You're right about the fingerprint.

Boucoups mail in ballots were challenged in the 2024 cycle and were not credited. We were able to find some of them and cure them, but IMHO unless the voter follows up, won't knoe whether the vote was actually counted.

Of course, one can, and I always do, check online to see if their vote was counted, but the vast majority just assume their votes count. If they did learn that they were not counted, they would not likely try to fix the system, and might even give up voting as a waste of time.

There ARE no stupid questions when it comes to registering and voting.

Know your county clerk. Ask at that office how YOUR vote gets counted. See how to follow your ballot.

Know your Secretary of State and State Attorney General, and vote in the primary on those jobs.

Then there are the student out of state voters rules and the youth in general. This demographic is crucial. Jayla Smith wrote on 9/5/25 on the League of Women Voters' website:

"While voters aged 18-29 have historically participated at lower rates than older demographics, the last decade has been a turning point. Fueled by growing awareness of socioeconomic and political concerns, young voters have shown a renewed sense of urgency around civic participation. This surge reached a historic peak during the 2020 presidential election, as an estimated 50% of eligible young voters cast their ballots — one of the highest youth turnout rates in modern US history. Similarly, approximately 47% of eligible youth voters voted in the 2024 election."

I tell everyone I know about Greg Palast's website. See you in the streets.

Palast: Trump Lost. Vote Suppression Won.

Here are the numbers...

by Greg Palastfor the Hartmann ReportJune 16, 2025

"Trump lost. That is, if all legal voters were allowed to vote, if all legal ballots were counted, Trump would have lost the states of Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Georgia. Vice-President Kamala Harris would have won the Presidency with 286 electoral votes."

He's not tracking the litigation.

My position is that

1. Trump admitted as much.

2. Voters were intimidated on election day. If one voter was intimidated it's a crime under state law. There awere thousands of incidents.

3. Russians were caught. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_interference_in_the_2024_United_States_elections

4. Add all the other stuff, like the stuff I cited to elsewhere.

I cannot dispute your analysis but why would these swing states with Dem governors and Sec/States allow this? I’m very upset about how the Biden people tried to hide Joe’s frailty and not allow a year of primaries that would have strengthened Harris’s run ( or maybe not but someone would have come out stronger).

I don’t expect free and fair elections in 2026 ( or perhaps insurrection act will take place).

Voter intimidation is probably outside the control of the states until after the fact.

We knew in September that the Russians were staging a voter intimidation campaign to benefit MAGA, but didn't stop it.

Mitch Moncrief's avatar

Yes, I understand but I don’t see why actions cannot be taken to stop intimidation and secure voting. The Dems are in control of the election. It takes some work and finding people who know what they are doing. It gets back to the same premise: they had no idea what they were up against.

This salutary chapter contains many footnote references at the end of many sentences, but the actual footnotes are not included in the chapter made available in your Sunday excerpt. Having the actual footnotes included would enhance the factual veracity of this chapter and make the facts harder to ignore.

I started reading the article and got about 10 paragraphs in when I decided I couldn't read it anymore. My brain was getting twisted from what we've kind talked about for a long time - no body did anything, either up front or after the fact, to refute ore deny or challenge any of the voter suppression abominations that occurred in the 2024 (fake/stolen) election. And now we're the ones doing the pearl clutching.

Thank you for posting this, that was a pivotal case indeed. The use of 'caging' by sending the postcards to specific minority/democratic districts should not be allowed but the Supreme Court did allow it and there is our problem, SCOTUS. Appreciate it.

How hard did the democrats fight these voter suppression activities? It seems to me that sufficient proof of illegal/unethical tactics to dump votes would end up with dozens of court cases that could have been won? so frustrating to read about these, but thanks Thom for the reporting.

Thom, I bought and read your book, very good, and with all your footnotes sourced. Which is usual for everything underlined in your articles. Naturally it would be good to add footnotes to each chapter as suggested above. However, for those like myself that have followed you for 20 years, ( as Lev Parnas says “enough is enough “subscribing to the Thom Hartmann show, the Hartmann Report and the Wisdom School, and know your looking for a title for your next finished book . Your helpers post all your sources of your daily TV talk show. You manage to post a weekend summary on Substack. You’re in your early 70’s, got Louise, cats , ducks, geese and regular nature walks, weekend appearances on Velshi’s on your schedule, etc, etc

How do you avoid burnout - maybe just being a lifelong vegetarian helps. Do you still use Squiggle toothpaste?

I just watched Joy Reid, Wajahat, Lev Parnas and Elie Mystal do a combined show. As I subscribe to 50 writers on Substack, it’s overload. One can’t comment and read and still have a life. With MSNOW still providing pretty good shows with min censoring, our discretionary time is scarce, and too much blue screen is harmful and antisocial.

I value Greg Palast’ work and all your sources in Chapter 8. But what about Elon Musk’s Starlink satellites triggering software in the Dominion voting machines in the rust belt maintaining just enough Trump win to not trigger a recount. That was a popular article back then?

I would counter that if the Democrats had put forward a candidate who could put together a coherent thought, had a shred of integrity, offered any public policy ideas other than a means-tested tax credit for first-time home buyers, was not the least popular vice-president in history since that poll was taken (worse approval ratings than her BFF Dick Cheney), and was not the least popular candidate in the 2020 Democratic primary pool the Democrats would have had a chance against a pig like Donald Trump. But since she was a warmongering empty suit who saber rattled against Iran and fully supported the genocide in Gaza that you and your delusional minions ignore she lost. Millions stayed home, particularly Muslims and young people. Cue your right-wing liberals to call me a Putin bot and blame Muslims whose families were slaughtered by US bombs in Palestine for electing to abstain from a choice between a right-wing narcissistic authoritarian or a center-right self-promoting corporatist who was going to finish building Trump's wall. Spin it any way you want Thom, but Republicans blaming Democrats for rigging elections and Democrats blaming Republicans for the same transgression when they lose accomplishes nothing but satisfying the audience capture you require to maintain revenue from Substack subscriptions. Meanwhile, I tried to warn Democrats but of course they were too busy obsessing about Trump.
