Absolutely! The GOP jumped into the barrel of rotten apples. Some are sliding out like the juice and others will be made into sauce. Some can stew in prison and others thrown out and executed. Treasonous money laundering. They are traitors to the U.S. Taxpayers who pay their salaries, benefits and expenses.

Everything Thom mentions as corruption rings true to all but the MAGAs who think all MSM news is an anti-Trump lie - at least that is what they tell me when rejecting facts. While corruption as a campaign theme is a terrific strategy, how does the DNC get the MSM (and themselves) unified and on board? They barely raise concerns about Trump's illicit insider stock trading, which he boasted about, while sitting with his PC on the Throne Room desk.

Trump has more than doubled his wealth since taking office on a $400K/year salary; not $1BN/year. I have yet to see an article that goes into deep fact-finding about how Trump is getting so rich. In contrast, instead of the usual 12 to 18% gains my ETF investments used to make under Biden, I am at 3.5% this year. My bank CD yield is higher than that!

How about a review of MAGA laws and Trump regulation cuts that have bulldozed national parks, workplace and product safety regulations, as well as pollution control laws and regulations? This is all corruption. Meanwhile, states are running out of water, watching forests burn down (often taking small towns with them), and then there is the US invading foreign countries that is draining our treasury while tripling the price of fuel for our gas-guzzling cars because Trump has embargoed affordable EVs from China to protect his buddy's domestic richguy's unaffordable EVs.

Nonsense. The Republican Party has not been properly recognized for it's achievement in turning the United States of America into the world's largest Banana Republic. I suggest we correct this terrible slight by henceforth only referring to them as the Banana Republilcan Party. It's only fair. (Long live the BRP)

You nailed it. Corruption is particularly painful when it's crystal clear whose money is making his friends rich. It's a study in contrast.

Thx Thom

Corruption both creates and maintains a regime of economic extremes, resulting in the masses having a voice in public policy that amounts to tape hiss on a recording. A great deal of the world's problems could be solved with a massive redistribution of wealth to the lower 50%, but that would require an abandonment of the current way of thinking that excuses capitalist exploitation and imperialist colonization as God's intended order of things.

I do not want to complicate things, but I would expand the message a little to identify Trump's 3 C's and to say let's end corruption, crime, and chaos.

Looking past this election, I think that one hot-button issue which should be at the top of the list and which must be pinned solely on the Republicans is privatization. The privatization of public schooling touches a lot of people and is about power and increasing inequality. Most people are aware of that conflict and come down on the side of keeping religion, business, and politics out of schools and avoiding the monetization of education. Many also understand intuitively that government has a role to play in protecting the public's interests.

Yes, and you have to hit at least a good number of people right where it hurts to activate them. Unfortunately, although education is the sine qua non of elevating our lives, it's hard to even get parents to show up for parent's night at the beginning of each year. I know because I tried. So let's stick with pocketbook and fairness issues that resonate, for now.

Boss Tweed died in 1878, so the paragraph starting with T.R. is a little confusing, but the idea is sound. Nast's cartoons showing him as a fat greedy thug, a vulture or a Roman emperor got his corruption across to the people. Today we really need a meme showing Trump like that. It won't affect the true believers, except maybe to drive them crazy, but it will stick in the minds of the undecided. Does anyone have a contribution to set loose?

THEFT---another simple word that goes along with CORRUPTION. These psychos and sickos are stealing people's life, liberty. and their pursuit of happiness. All corruption is theft. They are stealing our future.

NO KINGS NO CORRUPTION has a nice ring to it, Thom. Thank you for another spot-on Report that we can pass on. See you in the streets.

Ultimately, it's theft. For him, it has always been theft of other people's money, wives, or kids.

I wouldn’t trade places with Donald Trump right now for all the race-hate in America.

[Race-hate being as good as gold here.]

Brilliant. Let's also remind people that current day corruption has echoes down through the ages, as tyrants and their lickspittle enablers have used their positions of power to grift from the citizens of their countries, kingdoms, even cities and villages. Nothing new, here. We are at an inflection point which could allow us to start down a road to real reform, which was at least one aim of some of our more enlightened founding fathers in 1776.

The book Factfulness by Hans Rosling shows all of us how to get out of this mess. Trump and friends live in a world of make believe and money driven untruth. Us verses Them is the first big lie with more to come. Sexism, racism, ageism etc. kills the truth. If people knew how a Sociopath's behavior was unable to work in a democracy Trump would have been helped by his parents when he was a preteen. The People of the USA and CONGRESS can force this very confused, sick, demented President out of office and into some kind of CARE ASAP before LA blows up and the "Republican" dictatorship HAPPENS!!

The corruption is not just about what this current government is or is doing it’s also about those who have contributed billions upon billions to bring this all about. This is the culmination of 40+ years of plotting and planning and huge amounts of cash.

We need to investigate the roots of this operation and its funding and look to our present laws: RICO, Ricocheting.

This is what all this is about like a big drain that our whole country’s people have been sucked down.

JUST USE THE OLD, OLD TACTIC; FOLLOW THE MONEY.

Excellent report, Thom! Wouldn't it be nice if every Democratic Party candidate focused on a couple of different bullet points on corruption, along with a feasible solution to the issues, and announced them first in campaign speeches?
