The one thing that is different about November is that it is midterm. That greatly enables a divide-and-conquer strategy to steal the election even with a Blue wave. To impeach the most corrupt president in US history, Dems will need majorities in both houses. Since we are talking about Senators and Legislators, corruption can get messy, and Trump and his cronies could pounce on states where they are most vulnerable to try to maintain their majority. That could include 50 state National Guard units. MAGAs are already trying, with some success, to replace election officials with Trump-toadie election deniers. If you want more Red votes, just disappear a few boxes of Blue mailed ballots while officials look out the window. Slow processing voters so the line is 3 hours long, or maybe start a few fights with frustrated waiting voters to call in the Guard or police (Sheriffs especially - they are all MAGAs), and nobody can count the votes in that district.
This is a very sad state.The "Nazis" have taken over and people go about their busiess as if everything is just fine. I think we all on this substack and others have miscaculated the extent of the support for the "Nazi" model
Question: How can anyone prepare for inappropriate or unconstitutional Supreme Court intervention such as occurred in 2000? Other than teams of attorneys ready to file briefs and appeals, what can be done? Post cards to the six right-wing justices demanding they follow the Constitution? Letters to the editor? Protests on the steps of the court? We definitely must have a stronger response than we had in 2000 to their shenanigans.
Why do the Dems let this happen, over and over again?? If it was the other way around the GOP would have fought back and warned the public how corrupt the Dems were.. Trump never honestly won an election he stole the first one with help of the Russians, tried to steal the 2nd and stole the 3rd. Trump's campaign was in the dumps in the end, Kamala had much bigger crowds until Trump hired Musk (who claimed on the Tucker Carlton show that hacking voting machines is very easy). bomb scares, burning drops boxes, kicking voters of the voting list etc.
Trump was bragging during a rally "if I had not cheated, I would not be your president, Elon knows a lot about voting machines that is why I won Pennsylvania". There was never a response from the Dems. The GOP exploits the weakness of the Dems who want to look squeaky clean.
The GOP got rid of Graham Platner, Al Franken, Elliot Spitzer etc. all with the same sexual allegations while the GOP is rife with sex offenders and pedophiles who are much worse especially Trump. The new GOP campaign is calling all liberal Dems "communists".
Anybody else who has a ghost in their closet will be pushed out by the GOP and the Dems alike, but the GOP will defend the indefensible for their own candidates.
We are now up to our neck in authoritarianism, it will take decades to fix, unfortunately global warming is getting much worse thanks to Trump (he paid 4 billion to have the windmills destroyed. We are digging our own graves, our kids have no future , all we have is a handful of liberals and Bernie to fight for us. Of course Trump and MAGA will do everything they can to
