Yes your hero Zelensky is doing the same thing in Ukraine. All broadcast media outlets shut down except his. All elections canceled. All Russian orthodox churches closed. No organized labor or unions allowed. Spying on and prosecuting journalists. Forced conscription into the armed services leading to almost certain death. And have America's institutions stopped him yet? As far as I can see the Democrats have only contributed to his assault on free speech, immigrants and protest.
How ridiculous to compare the two; Ukraine was invaded by a foreign power and given no choice to fight back with everything it has, and one thing you forget is that that country gave up all of its nukes with the promise that we would help defend it.

If what you say is true, why did Zelenskyy fire the wizard who was the essence of defense technology with drone warfare? Pulled the rug out from under the feet of the man in charge of the detritus he and his drone experts were making of the Russian oil, military supply lines, and sending drones over 1500 miles into Russian territory in a four-year-plus war. There is something wrong here. We need more coverage of how the Ukrainians were able to cobble together a defense that supposedly has reduced Russia's warfare ability to nothing.
And we pull the plug on helping Ukraine? How does that compute? What else could/can the President of Ukraine do under the circumstances? We need more insight about that situation.
And I wrote all this without looking at the replies below. I have no idea what their responses say. I just want to make sure MY position is stated correctly. I was shocked at Zelenksyy's action, but there must be a reason - if what he did is even true.
We abandoned them for no good reason because DJT decided that Putin was a better choice. Shame on us for deserting them, is what I say.
