I believe that state attorneys generals and state and local election officials can pass laws that state that only copies of election results may be taken by federal authorities - we must keep the original Documents chain of ownership intact

What the speech actually shows is the determination to set up the conditions to take absolute power with a fake crisis of election interference that he will say require a strong federal response. Our public officials need to be asked if they will allow federal interference in our election. Democratic public officials need to be asked if they understand the gravity of the situation and if they are willing and preparing to counter this authoritarian move and Trump's goal of consolidating his rule.
