This being one of the oldest cons —demonize the opposition — and assuming the Democratic hierarchy is at the very least every bit as clever as the Republicans the question then arises: Why the Hell have they. not been doing anything about it? Since the 60s? People's ears perked up with Barry Goldwater but within 4 years the Ds more or less somnolent when Nixon (Nixon?) easily defeated them — massacred might be closer. AReagan, with trickle down economics? And then there's the rise of Newt Gingrich and Christian right, the Tea Party — all who would gladly rip our constitution to shreds, either in their hunger for power or to offer America up to a vengeful god. Where have the Dems been?

The Republicans should have been easy marks but the Democrats were, apparently, more interested in neoliberalism than they were in the people. Look at Congress today and the Dems have a handful of fighters where they should have had an army. Trump? Elected president 4 years after having fomented sedition? I really don't understand why that man is walking free.

It's time to stop being nice.

Big Lies and Big Spies.....

One more piece of the Technate of America plan is in the works. It will hand our communication infrastructure over to Space X, Amazon, Meta, and Google by way of their satellites. Land based equipment won't be needed.

This is from AI Overview: "SpaceX is able to connect standard phones to their satellites without requiring a direct, unobstructed view of the sky, as the technology can work through tree cover and even indoors, according to a Reddit post. This Starlink Direct to Cell (DTC) service functions by turning the satellites into cell towers in space, using E-Node B modems and beam-forming technology to connect with faint signals from regular LTE-compatible phones."

AND:

"Current Status and Future Limited Service:

The service is currently live but limited to texting and SOS alerts, with data and voice services planned to launch in 2025.

Future Enhancements:

Future capabilities include voice, data, and Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity for devices."

No more monitoring calls, messages, or BANKING unless you are Musk, Bezos, Zuckerburg, Pichai, or the TRump regime. Complete centralized control---every aspect of our lives will be gathered, used, and sold with no Congressional oversight or court orders.

See you in the streets.

"The independent and nonpartisan Center for Strategic and International Studies analyzed 893 terrorist plots that took place between 1994 and 2020. Their report concluded:

“Rightwing attacks and plots account for the majority of all terrorist incidents in the United States since 1994.”

I've always explained to people who ask me "what about leftwing violence" that anyone who engages in political violence immediately loses their "left" card, or never was a lefty in the first place. It's that simple.

We, the radical leftists, do not need, nor desire violence as a persuasive tool. We have the facts, we have reason, we have honesty.

Violence is and always has been a mainstay of the antisocial right. You own it, big shots.

The Republicans are declaring an open culture war on American cities, because we want to expand freedoms to all Americans, without removing birthright citizenship, or designating some as "real" Americans, and others as the enemy within to be used for military "practice."

They are using this "radical Left violence" as a bullshit excuse to release the dogs on us, and, somehow, the media hasn't noticed this horse crap dystopian narrative.

This is what happens when you see your political purpose as "standing athwart history and yelling stop," instead of expanding civil rights to those you don't consider "real" Americans.

American cities aren't perfect, but they are a hell of a lot better than the hypocrites who either wish to rule us, or pretend we deserve this, or are professional journalists relying on willful blindness pretending not to see it.

"They hate us for our freedom" and the freedom we wish to expand to all our neighbors. So they are sending a custom built military to remove those freedoms.

The totally preposterous Big lies are more for the low information crowd and for people who are too preoccupied with survival and frivolity, I suspect. My personal concern is more with how worldviews are shaped, often with more low-key and subtle ideas, images, and emotional cues, especially with younger people. This derelict administration has announced a major campaign to teach the public about the Constitution with a huge PR effort in conjunction with the 250-year anniversary of the founding. We know their intentions. They plan to sell the revised version and interpretation of the document which pushes intense nationalism, white supremacy, Christian nationalism, and their pathologically twisted perceptions of government as the paternalistic manager of all affairs without meaningful dissent, transparency, or oversight of the executive.

Over the weekend I pitched an idea for a competing effort to Thom, which he has not spoken about. I am volunteering him to play a big part because of his expertise and influence. The idea was that someone should organize free civic education classes for citizens of all ages in every possible location around the country to take the place of the high school classes which were eradicated by Reagan and Bennett (which Thom complains about frequently). These classes presumably should be billed specifically as objective, impartial instructional, historical, and socio-political information for all ages, with a close-up focus on the Constitution to shed light specifically on the unconstitutional, extrajudicial, and illegal actions and policies of this fascist rogue administration.

The classes might happen at school facilities after school hours, at community centers, in libraries, in church basements, on college campuses, in non-profit organization facilities, and in private homes or facilities. The ACLU might help with constitutional expertise. I can even see some civic-minded employers sponsoring classes in the workplace. Call it the Underground Save America Plan (USAP)! Or Emergency Save Democracy Education Plan (ESDEP). Or how about “Celebrate Our Awesome Constitution”tm to mark our 250th year? Or whatever works.

I also pitched it to the Nevada Humanities which sponsored a series of lectures on education around 1980, but their federal funding has been cut. I plan to send it to The National Constitution Center, although they probably do not focus on or have a budget for outreach of this nature. Does anyone else think this would be an effective counterbalance to the right-wing campaign? I'm thinking about videos to be distributed or played in many locations to educate people about the balance of power, separation of church and state, freedom of the press, etc. Many people have only the most vague conception about these things.

BREAKING: A retired Army Major General just issued a SAVAGE response to Trump’s misuse of National Guard troops to invade Democratic cities. Major General Paul Eaton did NOT hold back as he told the out-of-control president that his actions are both wrong AND dangerous. His epic statement below:

Eaton issued a statement that condemned Trump’s deployment of military forces to Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Memphis, Chicago, and, soon, Portland, Oregon.

"The National Guard, when federalized, is no different from the active force. As a retired Soldier, I am calling this out for what it is - and what others who have served surely recognize - a horrifying misuse of our military,” the retired Major General began.

"Using the National Guard has become a pattern for Trump. This isn't the first time or city we've seen this tactic used, but it needs to be the last.. Using the military to create political theater as a means of distraction is nothing more than intimidation. Make no mistake - the deployment of active duty Marines and federalized California National Guard in Los Angeles was blatant political intimidation, as well,” Eaton continued.

"Right now, Republicans are lying about abysmal job numbers and trying to gerrymander Texas because they can't run on their record. The National Guard should not be called upon to pose for photographs and intimidate residents to make Trump look tough on crime,” the VoteVets advisor angrily pointed out.

"Trump himself refused to activate the Guard when our Capitol was under attack; he should be embarrassed he is activating them now - specifically in blue state cities - to be the shiny object during an already failed presidency," Eaton concluded his comments.

Retired Major General Eaton made his remarks before this morning’s hastily called assembly of all of the nation’s senior military personnel where Trump and his newly re-named Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, further outlined their plans to illegally transform our country’s military into a domestic occupation force while abandoning our commitments to our European allies at a point when they face the greatest threat from Russian aggression since the end of the Cold War.

The only comfort the American public has left at this point is the knowledge that at least some former senior military officials (and hopefully at least some of the active-duty generals and admirals) recognize the danger that Trump presents to our democracy and to the stability of the modern world order.

If you are outraged or rightfully frightened by Trump’s authoritarian misuse of America’s armed forces, please like and share this posT.

Eadie: This statement: "Retired Major General Eaton made his remarks before this morning’s hastily called assembly of all of the nation’s senior military personnel where Trump and his newly re-named Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth"

1. The only generals and flag officers present were active duty, he did not call, retired generals to Quantico.

2. Where was this speech reported? It certainly wasn't reported in the media, not even MSNBC.

3. It is always retired generals that speak up, when there words have zero effect.

The only important generals and flag officers are those in active command. and of course they would be immediately relieved of duty and forced to retire.

I am quite sure that legions of retired officers, like myself, are outraged at Hegseth and Trump, but what good will my outrage do, I am no in any command position.only those in command positions, can make a difference.

Then again our system is set up, and has a tradition of civilian control, starts with the President, then the civilian Secretary of Defense (Hegseth) and the civilian secretaries of the Army, Navy, Air Force

William, you were right to be suspicious. My friend sent it to me. It appeared on Facebook, under the heading Occupy Democrats. I then went to Snopes and this is what I found.

Occupy Democrats is not considered a reliable source by Snopes. Snopes categorizes it as a political advocacy group that often shares content with a strong partisan bias, primarily aimed at promoting progressive viewpoints. While it may provide information that aligns with certain political beliefs, its content is not always fact-checked or presented with the same rigor as traditional news outlets.

I usually try to check my sources, but I trusted my friend. Apologies! I'll try to be more careful in the future.

Even if that article was correct, it was written by a retired General, and is of no effect. Anymore than my opinions have any effect.

The number of RETIRED officers and enlisted that oppose Hegseth and Trump are lgion, as are those that endorse Hegseth and Trump.

Opinions are opinions and like assholes everyone has one. I only pay attention to those who have the authority and ability to act on their opinions, and the fresponse from the assembled generals and flag officers is (wait for it) ....crickets.

The real patriots are the one that will put in their retirement papers, Those that stay on are accomplices, because they do not have the means to resist.

Lower ranks can hang on, until given an unconstitutional order, then they have a moral quandry to address.

I could say the same for generals, but Trump told them outright their job is to obey his orders or resign, and that they will be waging war in our cities against the citizens. Not in those exact words, but in so many words.

Majority Report: pinocchio Launches a $10 B Spying Operation

Targeting American Liberals, Classifying Some As Pre-Terrorist

Every Democrat who posted about healthcare inequality

after Brian Thompson’s killing

just became a surveillance target.

Every professor teaching gender studies triggered an algorithm.

Every immigration lawyer defending asylum seekers entered a database.

pinocchio ’s National Security Presidential Memorandum 7,

signed September 25, 2025, transforms the basic political positions

of roughly half the country into pre-terrorism indicators

requiring federal monitoring.

Ken Klippenstein’s explosive reporting reveals NSPM-7’s “indicators”

read like the Democratic Party platform rewritten as threat assessment.

Being “anti-capitalism” triggers surveillance

—capturing everyone discussing wealth inequality.

“Extremism on gender” targets trans rights supporters.

“Anti-Christianity” snares those opposing school prayer.

The government officially considers

“hostility towards traditional American views on family,

religion, and morality” as warranting investigation

by 4,000 Joint Terrorism Task Force members

across 200 offices.

The surveillance infrastructure was constructed throughout 2025,

before NSPM-7 provided legal framework. Palantir’s $10 billion Army contract

consolidated 75 programs into one AI system analyzing social media,

financial transactions, and movement patterns for these “indicators.”

Anduril Industries achieved monopoly status through exclusive

$6 billion border surveillance contracts, deploying 300+ autonomous towers

with AI-powered sensors operating without human oversight. Clearview AI’s

new $9.2 million ICE contract provides access to 20 billion facial images,

with pinocchio fundraisers now running the company.

Your teenager arguing about capitalism on Discord

triggers international intelligence alerts.

The Founders themselves would trigger investigation.

When mainstream progressive politics becomes pre-crime,

half of America stands accused.

This week alone reveals the machinery in action.

Going back to the 1970s, I saw Republicans learn how to use sound bites to significant effect. Short, sweet, and easy to grasp, the sound bite did need to be truthful. As the decades passed, it became more effective and was mastered by the current president. He has his catch phrases of superlatives and derogatory terms (sick, deranged, radical, lunatic). It allows him to lie with impunity. I always know when trump is lying because his lips are moving.

I'm sitting here this morning listening to the music of WWII era. I was born just the end of the war. I remember men going back to their pinto bean farms here in the Estancia Valley. They were so happy to be home. Both of my doctors when I was a baby were vets who had been in POW camps. One came to us from the Bataan Death March. He was precious and saved my life but he didn't last here long before he succumbed to a heart attack...after all that. So why does this matter. I knew so many vets and had so many relatives who went overseas. One of my Uncles said they gave him a rifle and the first time he met a German soldier, who was also armed, they just looked at each other and walked away. They didn't know why they were there and when they came home even the most heroic of them would not talk about it. This is Truth, I was there. They didn't consider it a victory, or even a win, it was just something they had to do out of duty and then they could come home. If you know someone who were supposed to serve and lied to get out of it, don't believe what they say. Liars! Then, the most important part of what I want to say is that my grandparents on both sides and my family coming down the generations were DEMOCRATS. Yes, they were. They lived in a time when a Democrat saved them from the Great Depression and financial devastation and another Democrat who finally made the decision to cause the disaster to stop the war. Now, I'm a pacifist and I don't like bombs or guns or any of that but I want to remind you that it was a Democrat who invited the A Bomb and he regretted it until he died. His children still preach peace. So don't ever tell me that the right is right. They are not and they couldn't tell a truth if their life depended on it. It will, believe me. Take a stand and don't budge. We can do this!

"The people of this country know the past too well to be deceived into forgetting. Too much is at stake to forget." This quote from Roosevelt is part of what's at the heart of why Republican disinformation is working.

Farmers voted for this guy again, AFTER his trade wars cost many of them their farms last time. The women who voted for him this time, did so AFTER he installed justices promising to restrict and remove reproductive healthcare last time. Some Latino voters went for him this time, AFTER watching him separate Latino children from their parents, put them through court proceedings without adult representation and imprisoned them in cages.

Dems messaging sucks without a doubt. A large number of voters having memories like the guy in Memento, multiplies the right-wing efforts to lie big and get away with it.
