Before we can do any reform, have to remove the tyrant.

Epstein is the vulnerable underbelly.

William Farrar's avatar

How is Epstein the vulnerable underbelly? How will it remove Trump, when it hasn't done so, so far?

SUE Speaks's avatar

Big yes. Every day he has power we are in danger of eradication. My Substack is about removing this administration so we can redo how we govern. Here's the latest:

Doesn’t this sound like exactly the game plan our candidates need?

Some bright media minds should be able to make a captivating campaign with this- right???? They might even make a contest for young people out of it 🤔

❤️💙❤️

I love the idea of limiting candidates to public financing ONLY 😃

Thanks for writing this piece, Thom. I've been thinking for some time that what progressive Democrats need now, before the midterm elections, is a comprehensive, fairly detailed positive plan that will address and help change the many deeply flawed, dysfunctional elements in our government under Trump 2.0. And I believe you, Thom, are the best person to accomplish this huge task. You have the "Big Picture" perspective with your knowledge of our history, our founders and their values, our laws, our Constitution, our economy, our health care system, our election system, and so forth. The American people are now already in majority against Trump and his group of sycophantic enablers, so what we need going. forward is a positive set of goals that will become the blueprint for the First-Turning High -- that Neil Howe said in his most relevant book "The Fourth Turning Is Here" will follow this current Fourth Turning Crisis.

Once we hit rock bottom.....

In a nation of over 320 million anything is possible. We have the state democracies to keep the dream alive on the way down.

The Tech Bros were wolves that tried to act like they were on the side the people and democracy. Now we know they aren't. TRump has shown that he is a warmonger and America Last. The Epstein Class is exposed.

The Resistance grows. We are about to see if all politics are local. It's about our consent. Know your enemy. Know that it is the predator billionaires, psychopaths, and religious ideologues. We deserve better. See you in the streets.

This is a video of the Musk-DOGE hijacking of the Institute of Peace in DC.

Musk-DOGE outright corrupted the MPD [a/k/a the DC Cops]. The MPD was forced to kick "REAL" Americans out of the building. Somewhere, the siloviki (from silovye struktury, “power structures”) are ROTKFLTVSAO [rolling on the Kremlin floor laughing their vodka soused asses off.]

Silociki refers to officials who rose through:

- The KGB/FSB

- The military

- The Interior Ministry

- Other security and intelligence organs, including remote agent Krasnov.

This is a record of how Musk's brand of DOGE fascism began.

Ironically, Musk/Tesla have been losing bigly under Trump administration anti-alternative energy and tariff policies.

Google: Tesla's stock is down due to slowing EV demand, increased competition, a shift in investor focus from automotive to its nascent AI/robotics ventures (which aren't yet profitable), weaker-than-expected financial results (falling revenue/profits in 2025), and macroeconomic headwinds like higher oil prices impacting consumer confidence, with CEO Elon Musk's polarizing public image adding to investor caution.

Meanwhile, Musk's Dogecoin has been DOWN 55% in the past year.

IMHO Musk stands exposed for the failure of the DOGE program.

Key potential damages and legal risks include:

1. Data Privacy and Security Violations

Privacy Act Violations: Lawsuits allege that DOGE's access to sensitive government databases (including the Treasury, Social Security Administration, and Department of Education) violates the Privacy Act of 1974.

Statutory Damages: Lawsuits, such as one filed by the Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC), are seeking $1,000 per person in statutory and punitive damages for unauthorized inspection and disclosure of personal data.

Data Breach Risks: Concerns exist that unauthorized access by DOGE personnel could expose sensitive taxpayer, Social Security, and employee information to cyberattacks or foreign adversaries.

Center on Budget and Policy Priorities

2. Financial and Operational Damages

Cost of Mismanagement: While DOGE claims significant savings, nonpartisan groups estimate that its actions—including placing federal employees on paid leave, potential re-hiring costs, and lost productivity—could cost taxpayers upwards of $135 billion.

Delayed Payments: Interference with the Bureau of the Fiscal Service (BFS) payment systems risks delaying payments to millions of individuals, including Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid recipients.

Contractual Liabilities: The abrupt cancellation of thousands of government contracts may lead to legal challenges and breach-of-contract lawsuits against the government.

So much for AI, now for the real world. Musk still has monopoly contracts with the federal government, and he is a part of the Broligarchy that has not only our personal info, but all of the security info of the government.

Also Trump is plowing ahead with his grandfather's plan for the Technocracy Movement, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technocracy_movement and the Technate of America https://digital.library.cornell.edu/catalog/ss:34227574under the name the Shield of the Americas. or as George Orwell named it..Oceania.

Methings that Musk a 3/4's Trillionaire, along with his paypal mafia, and the Broligarchy has control of the country pretty much locked up, especially the media and entertainment business. with Larry Ellison (Oracle) and son David, now in control of CBS, CNN, Paramount, HBO, etc Is not feeling even a pinprick with any adverse financial news.

Are you questioning yourself? Two comments above:

"Daniel Solomon

Notes from Baghdad by the Sea

2h

Ironically, Musk/Tesla have been losing bigly under Trump administration anti-alternative energy and tariff policies."

Meanwhile back to my question: Just how will TrumpEpstein take down the Trump regime, in as much it hasn't had any effect so far, other than noise.

William Farrar's avatar

Doesn't answer the question.

Besides you said, Ironically Musk/Tesla.

Then questioned yourself with Ironic?

Then respond: Irony.

Are you OK.

You still haven't answered the question, how is TrumpEpstein going to take down Trump?

I'm curious, admittedly I have pointed out obstacles, but apparently you have a solution.

So what is it.

A Trump will be long gone before breach-of-contract lawsuits get underway. Thanks for the info you share. Yesterday's article from the Miami Herald was an eye-opener.

Thias morning, Julie Brown reports that the DOJ covered up evidence re Epstein's death.

"...the New York Post also reported on Saturday that Noel’s bank flagged a $5,000 cash deposit [the alleged perp] made to her Chase Bank account on July 30, 2019 – a week after Epstein was found in his cell in what prison officials concluded was a suicide attempt on July 23, 2019.

"The official reports into that incident show that Epstein initially told prison officials that his cellmate had tried to kill him after extorting him for money. The Post also reported that on the morning of Epstein’s death on Aug. 10, Noel searched the term “latest on Epstein in jail” twice – once at 5:42 a.m. and again at 5:52 a.m., about 40 minutes before the other guard, Michael Thomas, found Epstein.

"Her bank records, which are in the files, showed that Noel received thousands of dollars in cash and Zelle payments in the months before Epstein died. She has not been charged with any crime.

"The Miami Herald was unsuccessful in reaching her attorney on Saturday.

"Epstein’s former cellmate, Efrain Reyes, told prison officials that he told Epstein he would be safer if he paid inmates and guards for protection. Sources have told the Herald that Epstein did make protection payments." .

Even if Thom's sane reforms were instituted, it would not eliminate lobbyists - people paid to hand new legislation to legislators that advance their corporate profits. Voters only have political action committees, few of which have lawyers who know how to draft legislation. Corruption is like bad weather. It never goes away.

Both parties have benefited from the disgusting changes that limit legal restraints on corporations. Those of us who have had to work with legislators in DC know well that the system has always been vulnerable to corruption. What is new is that both parties embrace a ruthless win-at-any-cost mentality. Although the GOP thrives on fear and loathing of liberals, the Democrats have used fear and loathing of GOP fascism as a political cudgel, too.

What makes James Talarico so appealing is not just his charming personality but the obvious Christian morality that seems to drive his views and platforms. Instead of exploiting Old Testament Christian religion to create political divisiveness by marginalizing sinners, Talarico promotes New Testament governance that promotes respect for individual differences and encourages people to embrace social unity to make life better for everybody. That is a political view we have not heard since JFK.

I believe that another “goal” would be to empress upon the American public the dire consequences of the financial manipulations so proudly practiced by these morbidly wealthy individuals, and that our system presently allows.

These billionaires/trillionaires seem unaware and unconcerned, that the business tactics they so avidly practice are destroying our once healthy middle class who ironically are so necessary to maintain and support both this system and their lifestyle and make their “class” even possible.

Our tax money that we are forced to contribute and our spending power are what these financially bloated individuals depend upon to exist. Through manipulation and contrivance they effectively take our income right back with the rationale that they somehow “gave” it to us in the first place.

Instead of a world if people, animals and plants collectively contributing and using their diversified interests and talents to improve life and living quality for all, we are fast becoming slaves for a relative handful of of greedy, sad individuals who are clearly impervious to the destruction they are causing.

This conspiracy to drain us dry of any power or semblance of freedom or security or quality of life is fairly clear at this point. And, we’re so desperately trying to stay afloat that we seem powerless to stop this conspiracy.

They are clearly attempting and seemingly succeeding in destroying the middle class and treating us in the same fashion as their robotic AI upgrades they so proudly replace our workforce with.

Just like parasites who drain their host dry and go to the next victim, these individuals, like financial vampires drain us everyday of the quality of life we work so hard for.

Eventually, though, the host is all gone and there is no longer anyone they can steal from but each other.

This is more than a struggle between democrats and authoritarians over how power and wealth should be distributed. It is a struggle over whether we are a social (herd) species or a solitary (predator) species. The problem with the predator model is that they want predate upon their own species, and that is the road to extinction.

Edward Oberweiser's avatar

The worst problem facing U.S. citizens and all life on Earth is the power of super-rich men and their corporations. That power has made most U.S. citizens poorer and has helped place all life on earth in danger of extinction.

U.S. citizens live under an oligarchy/plutocracy. This was achieved over decades by an incredibly wealthy group of men with never-ending greed. They have plundered the country to such a degree that seven of the ten richest men in the world are from the U.S. The U.S. has the most billionaires (902) of any country in the world as of 4/1/25.

Thom, you read my mind! Absolutely, we have two tasks to perform: First, get rid of Trump and his Maga base and; second, don't go back to pre-Trump. We need a Plan 2028 for Democrats. It will serve first serve as a structure to give context to each of our objections to Trumpian policies. And, it will serve as a well-thought-out guide to rapidly implement needed democratic reforms.
