Fanaticism cannot, because its leader’s infallibility matters more than your child’s pulse. Viruses don’t watch podcasts, accept excuses, or salute Cabinet titles.

This goes beyond incompetence, past irresponsibility, straight to criminality. He should be removed from office, and anyone who tries to stop it should be added to the indictment as an accessory.

I've been dealing with difficult family issues and have been unable to tune in for the last week. This was probably covered and may seem off-topic. But has anyone suggested that the reason Jeffries met with Kushner could be that there are people in the administration and in the family who are preparing to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove Trump? This may make things even worse, or it may help rid us of Kennedy, Stephen Miller, and a few others. But that would be a valid reason that Jeffries was obliged to take the meeting. Has this been discussed at all? Should we all try to map out where that move would take us?
It seems unlikely to happen that way, but we should be looking ahead. In 2028 either he'll be still in office and try either another Beer Hall putsch to stay in power or else set himself up to be the power behind the throne. Conversely, if he's dead or totally incapacitated by then, Vance will have to be carefully watched and fought as necessary. Because he'll "seem normal" and is "carrying on the legacy" it is possible that he'll quickly get through some truly awful stuff. Nobody has Trump's evil charisma, but what he started could keep marching on. We can hope for a return to being a normal country again (think of how fast England swung away from being a Commonwealth after Cromwell died) but there is no guarantee that will occur. Those who put Trump up are still around, and there's a lot of damage to be repaired.
