“So, when do Democrats start yelling about “conservative bias” in the “rightwing media”? When will progressive billionaires start buying media outlets? And what are the Democrats’ plans to enforce the nation’s anti-trust laws the next time they’re in power? Inquiring minds want to know.” They’re too busy making sure the “right” people get elected/re-elected, undermining the efforts of them that rock the boat. America needs a massive de-contamination, as does the Democratic Party, starting with its calcified old guard and its entrenched, tone-deaf consultants.

The problem Tom is that there are no propagandists or effective ones on the left. Too high, might and moral. When they go low, we go high, is the recipe for defeat and an excuse for cowardice and weakness.

We have no fighters, just milquetoast, consensus building weaklings, bought and paid for by PAC's

Any questions as to why we don't have universal health care, why we are a tool of Netanyahu and the Defense industry, and he is only one of 538 Reps.

We have plenty of effective propagandists on the left - and enough Schumercrats to regularly silence or undermine them. Our alleged “big tent” has incrementally driven away the heart of our party for decades, through bowing to the neolibs (e.g. Bill Clinton “The era of big government is over”), to repeatedly distancing itself from the New Deal. If Hakeem Jeffries is our best crack at Speaker, our journey to irrelevance (and fascism) will continue unabated, as demonstrated by his grudging response to Zorhan Mamdani. Establishment, corporate Democrats have been, and remain, the bane of the Party. Their power and performance contributed to POSOTUS’S otherwise inexplicable reelection.

He's the best chance WE have to be Speaker of the House.

We are a big tent party, not the Communist Party.

William Farrar's avatar

Another logical fallacy from Daniel. Now I am a communist? LOL.

Me the profound anti Marxist a communist, get real.

If Hakeem is out best chance for a speaker, we are rucked. There is a lot of talent in the DNC. Let's try AOC for one, enough of the ass kissing, money grubbers.

He's all we have.

Your way or the highway.

We've (apparently that we doesn't include you) been on it for a long time -- it started with Reagan.

In 2024, George Soros's investment firm, Soros Fund Management, became the largest stakeholder in Audacy Inc., the second-largest radio company in the United States. Soros has been a major Democratic Party donor. Are you complaining about that? Republicans are.

Unlike the Republican Party (or the Nazi and Communist Party) the Democatic Party is bottoms up, not top down. It's big tent party. We'd even let you in......

What we need is unity.... imagine investors like pension funds, state governments even private institutions agreeing to fund public media.....or voters. Once upon a time (before Trump) the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) distributed funds to local stations, while the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) and National Public Radio (NPR) curate and distribute content, heavily focusing on news, documentaries, and children's education. Dems suppored public. media. But we lost.

BTW, I donate to WDNA, "free" radio in Bahgdad By the Sea. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WDNA

What about YOU?

Meanwhile, the assumption that the Paramount/CBS/Warner/CNN merger is a fait accompli will be challenged in court.

With Trump it isn't necessary to expand the war, just find some other bright shiny object to play with. As alleged in https://www.ms.now/news/trump-iran-war-messaging-white-house-divide

“[Trump] is getting a little bored with Iran,” the official said. “Not that he regrets it or something — he’s just bored and wants to move on.”

In this administration, "It's not my fault" is the default.

We are witness to the dying gasp of the Republic. We can't see it, because we are immersed in it.

Our hopes are pinned on an election, that for all appearances is rigged in advance, by a complicit Supreme Court. I wonder what the payoff will be for SCOTUS, as they will no longer be necessary except maybe playing the role of a Star Cjhamber for the king.

This continent may fall under the fascistic reign of the Tehcnate or Oceania or the Shield of the Americas, but it will not be productive, we will be essentially slaves without chains.

The motivation, the means, the desire to achieve will have disappeared and if anything we will be reduced to the life of a Russian peasant.

Daniel Solomon's avatar

Our best chance is to protest TODAY.

William Farrar's avatar

Yeh, and what have those protests yielded except as a pressure relief valve.

They have no kings protests all the time, all over, not just today. And they have achieved nothing, zero, nada, zilch/ Trump doesn't care, he has power, he gets pissed and doubles down.

My wife is joining a protest today. I can't, disabled, I would for solidarity, but I am under no delusion that they will achieve anything.

Seems to me that your specialty is getting people to waste time and money chasing snipes.

You don't overthrow fascism with protests. Only direct action, uprisings, general strikes, boycotts, but you weren't issued a hair shirt, and neither were Americans. We are soft and can't tolerate any pain at all.

I'll be there to join your wife in CA.

This anonymous person is right in part, but is not on top of the events in Pa and Ga and probably is not a lawyer. In Pa, it's a matter of criminal law. If one voter was intimidated, it's a crime.

Turns Out There Was Voter Fraud in Georgia—ostensibly by Elon Musk

The state board of elections found Musk’s PAC sent prefilled ballot applications.

MSM never mentioned the internal election audit that allegedly was performed.

“In December 2024, I was personally involved in an NSA‑authorized forensic audit of the 2024 election. Kamala Harris and Tim Walz won—by a wide margin. Trump lost dramatically. There are multiple layers of complexity to this cover‑up, including transnational organized crime syndicates that extend far beyond the United States and our elections. To that point, I work in the human trafficking sector, which intersects with the stolen election(s) and has ties to Trump and Epstein—not to President Biden, Vice President Harris, or Governor Walz, but to the Democrats and other allied interests responsible for burying the audit.”

Who else was involved?

MSM has not discussed the Greg Palast allegation re voter intimidation.

William Farrar's avatar

What is the solution then.?

We have a criminal syndicate with it's hand;s around our throat and squeezing, and there is no reliefvia the law or poltitics, if there were we wouldn't be having this discussion.

So what is the solution?

The EU can bypass Hungay's veto through intergovernmental agreements, hence avoiding the need for unanimity in the EU Council.

Meanwhile in Grapevine....

Reza Pahlavi, the exiled crown prince of Iran, said freedom in Iran is “within reach” in a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Saturday.

“A free Iran is not a fantasy,” Pahlavi said. “A free Iran is within reach right now, but as we all know, freedom never comes free.”

The son of Iran’s last shah made the comments to the crowd of conservatives in Grapevine, Texas, amid intensifying military action in the Middle East. On Saturday, the Iranian-backed Houthis joined the fight, launching strikes on Israel, which said the country intercepted the attack without casualty.

Pahlavi encouraged the U.S. to “stay the course” in its military operations against Tehran.

“Do not throw this crumbling regime a lifeline,” he said. “Pave the way for the Iranian people to finish the job.”
