Then the question becomes whether anyone decides to nuke us somewhere. Any actor with enough determination, money, and resources could do it. It doesn't have to come on top a missile.

While I find all of his so disheartening, and increasingly understand those who tune out to protect their mental health, for me the best antidote is to keep seeking ways to make a difference. Right now, that means trying to prevent California's jungle primary from sticking California with a Republican Governor. Voters need to be guided to make strategic decisions -- something the democratic party has seriously failed at. Below is what I am emailing to every progressive leaning Californian in my contact list . I hope hope some of you will join me in sharing it.

I’m forwarding this email because I’m concerned that in California’s crowded “jungle primary,” the large number of excellent Democrats running for Governor could split the Democratic vote and inadvertently leave us in the terrible situation of having only two Republican choices in November.
One simple way to reduce that risk is to delay casting your vote until close to May 20th when most of the debates, town halls, and major interviews will have taken place. At that point, we can check the polls (google “California Governor polling”) to see which Democrat is leading, and then unite behind that candidate rather than dividing our support among our various favorites.
If even half of those receiving this email forward it to 10 others who do the same, within 10 rounds it could potentially reach millions of voters. If you share my concern about electing a Democratic Governor, I hope you’ll quickly forward this email today to 10 Democrat leaning friends and family, and ask them to quickly do the same.
