As a retired Navy Captain who spent half his career working for the Navy Chief of Operations and the JCS, it is crystal clear that the DOD budget overruns are due to Hegseth firing all the generals and admirals who were both experienced and competent (likely to reduce criticism and refusal to obey stupid and illegal orders like invading Iran). Hegseth's leaders are like Trump's cabinet: incompetent sycophants. No competent admiral would have left an aircraft carrier deployed for over 250 days at sea. A nincompoop Defense Secretary would. Keep in mind, Hegseth's National Guard career was terminated for loss of confidence and revocation of his security clearances as a mid-level reserve Major. Then Trump promoted him to be the boss of all the generals and admirals, which triggered a bunch of early retirements across rank levels servicewide even before the firings started.

In my mind, this is sabotage if not treason. Putin and Xi must be dancing. Keep in mind that Congress did nothing to remove Hegseth much less stop the demented Iran invasion, to protect America from being nuked by bombs that did not exist, delivered by missiles that lacked 6000 mile range.

Think I will make a new sign that says MILITARY LIVES MATTER. We know that the outrageous budget proposal doesn't include anything that will improve life for the troops. Hell, Hegseth can't even manage to keep them fed or do proper rotations.

When I was demonstrating recently, the sign that people liked the most simply says HE'S A PSYCHO! See you in the streets.
