Trump and Musk did this to give the super wealthy $4.5 trillion in tax breaks
These greedy wealthy corporate fascists transplanted from other countries to parasitize on the American people such as Rupert Murdoch from Australia, Musk and Thiel from South Africa have no business in American politics. One of the first priorities WE the People should demand in 2029 legislation to reform campaign financing and revoke Citizens United. That will put more $$$ into people's wallets.
And while we are at it, let's strip those three of their U.S. citizenship and send them back where they came from. They cause more trouble for us than anything good they might have done.

1) Supreme Court exemption from criminal prosecution for Trump;
2). Senate confirmation of Todd Blanche for DOJ;
3) potential conversion of Postmaster General into a political partisan to eliminate Mail-In Voting;
4). Potential allowance of ICE or other quasi-military, or military at voting locations;
5) Potential prohibition of married women voting. (Don’t think that one is going to fly so maybe one of the distraction projects. )
In other words, the willing complicity of the Supreme Court, the Congress and the Administration in the dismantling of the Democratic Republic.
Trump is the incompetent President and paid mouthpiece and distractor-in-Chief (with his tearing down of the White House, “beautifying projects” etc) but it’s the Republican Party with the Courts who are the real villains.

I am not sure it is obvious to all voters that Trump’s desperate push to interfere “bigly” in the elections is a clear statement that even the Republicans don’t believe in their party’s leadership and policies.
They’re basically saying that nobody in their right mind would vote for them!
So why not take them at their own assessment and vote for the other side.
