Every accusation is projection and confession. He's insecure, in over his head, and a racist, misogynist bully. I would pity him but I can't even stir up up that much emotion for someone who's intentionally destroying not only the US but the world over his emotional shortcomings.

Trump knows that he is supported by only 39% of the people, Pam Bondi, Kash Patel, the rest of his cabinet knows this as well, but they act with no fear. Trump is not behaving like there is an election coming in 2028 and he had best position himself to win over America. Pam Bondi certainly defied congress, spit in it's face, insulted, disparaged and lied to them without fear of consequence.

Is anything happening to Noem, Lurnik, Patel? No. Nor will there.

If people were on their toes, and not hiding out in la la land, they might come to realize that they act the way they do, because they are not concernedd that there will be any consequences for their behavior.

And that should send chills down your spine.

The law, where it is inconvenient and the courts rule against him, he ignores it More than 400 judges across the United States have ruled at least 4,421 times since October that the Trump administration is detaining immigrants unlawfully,. He ignores judicial rulings, 4,41 times, if not more.

SCOTUS rules against him, (a rarity) he either ignores of it, ir as did Kavanaugh provide him instructions on how to get around the ruling.

House Oversight Democrats forced a vote in January 2026 to hold Bondi in contempt for refusing to comply with a subpoena regarding 2026-02-10-Oversight-Democrats-demand-AG-Bondi-comply-with-subpoena.pdf Epstein files. While this was blocked by Republicans, lawmakers have threatened further legal action.

Inherent contempt requires a simple majority vote in either the House or Senate to authorize their Sergeant-at-Arms to detain an individual for refusing to comply with a Congressional subpoena or investigation. While rare in modern times, this process involves a committee report finding, a floor vote, and potentially a "mini-trial" before Congress to allow the individual to defend themselves

And who would carry out any actions against her, certainly not her Justice Department, Well there is he Sergeant at Arms, the same one that evicted Congressman Green and Rep Tlaib's guest.

And who would prosecute her? Not herself, Ted Blanche? ROTFLMAO.

Well there is the mid term election in November, we hinge out hopes on at least taking over Congress. I hope so as well, but it will require a fearless and massive, like never seen before, turnout of Democrats and never Trumper independents.

Because of redistricting, voter suppression laws, voter caging and scrubbing, MAGA election commissions, even in some blue states, like , restrictions on ballot boxes and mail in voting, and armed poll watchers. Though currently denied, expect to see ICE at selected polling stations, and the coup de gace ,rScott Leiendecker former GOP operative with ties to Trump ally Ed Martin now owns election equipment used in 29 states/DC/Puerto Rico after acquiring Dominion Voting Systems

Take nothing for granted, don't be lulled to sleep, if you have to crawl to the voting booth, do so and drag a friend.

Outside of national bankruptcy, a depression,or the world abandoning the dollar and turning as wone against us, I fear there is no rescue from fascism, because those in power act like that they will be staying in power forever, and that shuld scare you.

Thanks William, great post. How do we get more people involved? He has managed to buy out half the population because stock market is doing well and many are putting their pocketbooks ahead of the desire to have a democracy. American citizens will be swept up because they object to Trump, and put in one of the 21 planned concentration camps. Those concentration camps are being held for hispanic criminals,82 % of hispanics being held have no criminal record. The camps are for people who object to this " nazi" regime.

They way to motivate people is agitate the amygdala, put the fear of god, the devil, of Trump of everything into them. Not give them hope, hope is opium, hopium, it dulls the senses, lulls people into complacency.

Trump, the Republicans have grabbed power, because they grabbed the Amygdala.

They learned from the 1964 Campaign , where the Democrats put out, at the last minute a brief ad on TV, of a little girl plucking petals from a daisy, and in the background was a count down, and finally a mushroom cloud. That cost Goldwater the election, LBJ won.

The Democrats forgot the lesson, then went on full "pacifist" mode, going high when the Republicans went low and lost.

Nixon initiated the southern strategy, appealed to the racists and confederates, (stimulated the amygdala), Reagan did the same, Bush did the same, using code words and dog whistles,

Then in reaction to Obama being elected, and for the first time blacks showing their electoral power,.

The Tea Party movement started during the Obama administration, ostensibly as a reaction to bursting of the sub prime bubble and big bank bailout (which was engineered by...Larry Summers, that pedophile who just resigned from Harvard, he was grise eminence in the Democratic party, and it's undoing.

What really motivated the tea Party was a black president, and MAGA is the offspring of the Tea Party.

Since Nixon, the Republicans have developed their expertise at stimulating the lizard brain, the amygdala.

Trump's SoTU speech Tuesday was nothing but spiking fear in his base, fear motivates and he will continue to spike it, driving them 100%to the polls, which all things considered are going to be corrupted by him and this party.

Too much to lose, too many people going to prison, penury if they lose the election.

David's avatar

William, thanks for great post. I remember when Michelle Obama said "When they go low,we go high" that was the end. She basically capitulated and the : NeoNazis: said WOW. Now we can after the DEM,there will no pushback,Bannon,Miller,Thiel,Noem, Bondi,Trump all think the DEMS have no fight and they may be right. Why did any DEM go to the :NAZIS" speech on Tuesday night? The Dems are short on people who want to get into a confrontation, all talk,no action. I have said if the DEMS had someone about 6"3" 240 lbs standing across from the " Nazi" and said " I 'm going to come over and rip your face apart" that might change some minds. Absent some real aggression, nothing is going to change. Shumner, and so many DEMS do nothing but talk, the "Nazis" don't listen.

William Farrar's avatar

The Dems do have someone 6'3 and 240 lbs, Sen Fetterman and he strode up to Trump and shook his hand

Democrats: Alligator mouth,humming bird ass.

Ro Khannad and Rep Massie, know the names of at least 20 pedophiles, they learned them from the victims.. They can't speak them for fear of having to spend time and money on law suits, having to bring the victims into court, which is victimizing the victims.

But there is a speech and debate clause, which gives them immunity from even a civil suit, if they speak in open session on the floor.

and they won't even do that. So much for acts of courage.

I've heard Ro Khanna;'s excuse on Thom's TV show, but don't buy it.

Can you imagine our troops pouring out of landing craft on the beaches of Normandy with Michelle's attitude.

Hers was an excuse for failure

The problem is the inability to admit failure and identify the reason, it is always someone or something else. To wit Trump, not only can he not admit failure, but he claims he actually won in 2020 and I am quite sure that he actually knows he didn't, but maybe when you lie to yourself long enough you believe your own lies.

AI: Key Factors for "Overcoming" Fascism

The success of anti-fascist efforts in 2026 is widely seen as depending on several active fronts:

Electoral Participation: The 2026 midterm elections are viewed as the primary test. Recent polling shows Democrats holding a 4 to 6-point lead on generic congressional ballots.

Voter Enthusiasm: Democrats currently report significantly higher enthusiasm (44%) compared to Republicans (26%) for the upcoming midterms.

Institutional Resilience: The ability of "non-state sectors"—such as independent newsrooms, law firms, and local governments—to resist federal pressure is considered a critical check on centralized power.

Broad Coalitions: Historical analysis suggests that "broad fronts" including multiracial, working-class bases are necessary to withstand authoritarian backlash.

The Century Foundation

+++++

Despite what you say we need to resist at all levels, especially in Congress..

In my inbox: Daniel, right now, we have a chance to stop Congress from approving billions more taxpayer dollars for ICE. Your voice matters now more than ever.

Democrats in Congress have released 10 demands for ICE reform – and many are strong reforms that Common Cause has already called for: banning racial profiling, protecting schools and polling places, and expanding oversight.

But let’s remember – one of the biggest problems you and I have with this administration is that they blatantly ignore the rule of law.

So, when we’re up against an out-of-control agency that is terrorizing our communities, we shouldn’t ask for the bare minimum in return – we must demand the democracy we all deserve.

That means: firing Kristi Noem and top DHS leadership, pulling ICE out of our communities now, and creating truly independent oversight to finally hold federal agents accountable for abuses.

We can’t let Congress give this administration a green light to continue business as usual. You can help demand better, right here and right now.

Tell the Senate: Don’t write ICE the $10 billion check Trump is asking for

Again you defame me. I didn't say that we shouldn't resist, not at all. I am saying that we shouldn't spew false hope, be realistic. There are obstacles to overcome, and we do no service by misleading people and giving them false hope.

There is no solution, we can talk of need to, should do, till the cows come home, but our only chances are

1. A massive turnout in November, a turnout that will overpower all of the voter suppression laws and activities, including the fact that Damion Voting machines is owned by a Trump humping Republican who is friends with a Trump ally.

2. And this will hurt, but no pain no gain, the dollar falls into disrepute, the U.S. goes bankrupt, and Europe turns it's back on us.

Perhaps that will get ird of the fascists, from Wall Street and Tech Bros to main street and MAGA.

People all around the world vote with their feet for democracy. Felonious grifters from all parts of the world vote with their money for oligarchy. Republicans know they and their political aspirations are unpopular, or they wouldn't have to lie, fear-monger, and redirect our attention to their pet conspiracy theories. So now they are desperately trying to keep us from voting.

It's time to stop the platitudes and move to the heart of our problem, the culture we have created. Capitalism is much more than an economic system; it is a culture

Financialization turns the financial sector into an international private government disciplining national political communities and their public governments, without being in any way democratically accountable. The power of money, wielded by central banks both independent from states and dependent for the success of their monetary policies on the cooperation of the private financial sector, takes the place of the power of votes, adding importantly to the decoupling of democracy from political economy that is the central requirement of the Hayekian model, if not of growth, then of profit growth.

Corporate legacy media’s response to the SOTU is an epic self-indictment. The barrage of abuses, threats, lies, distortions, stochastic terrorism, etc., etc., issuing from POSOTUS’S foul mouth provided a wealth of headlines - none of which saw print or appropriate TV coverage. POSOTUS is a shuffling, talking, subversive, demented outrage, and the only business specifically identified in the Constitution has normalized him.

The worst behavior of the lickspittles was on display during the speech. And not just how the Republicans jumped up from their seats in a standing ovation worthy of the diva in an opera. No, it was when Rep. Al Green was "escorted" out. He turned to the Republican side, showing his sign as they not only applauded his removal, but pointed fingers in his face. This might have been a picture of when the National Guard was brought out to protect the black students who were bravely answering Wallace's defiance of a desegregation order. Or countless pictures of civil rights actions and protests as racist mobs spit in their face, and worse.

Trump's childish insults betray his lack of vocabulary and intelligence. In their predictable repetition and limited vocabulary (but unlimited targets) they can make us numb. But their import cannot, if we are not to continue to slide into a society founded on the basest of instincts: fear of the "other", and competition for the scraps left us.

In the past I have compared Trump to Hitler and the playbook if read about Nazi Germany 1933-41 is pretty compelling and makes the case for the comparison. One major difference in Hitler era,the people did not have access to the information we have today. They did not fight back, because they were not aware. Today,in this country, people should be aware of what Trump, the "Nazi" is trying to do. He is a low life pig,who has no shame. A mouth with no integrity,no empathy,no sympathy,no humanity.
