In essence, the political right wants to return to the days of yore in which white men ruled. To them, "a woman's place is in the home," and the best way to keep her there is to keep her "barefoot and pregnant." The right's reasoning is rather obvious. Women tend to vote left rather than right. Also, Nazi Replacement Theory - raw eugenics - is advanced by increasing the ratio of white babies to darker-skinned ones.
Despite so-called Evangelical Christians boasting these views as being endorsed by the Bible, they usually have to sift through the non-Christian Old Testament to find them. The message of the New Testament Christian Bible is full of love, respect, and salvation for our fellow humans in contrast to the Old Testament's messages of hatred, violence, and punnishment of sinners (often defined as people different from oneself) like Arabs and Africans.
Stories like this are becoming alarmingly common as they also become increasingly unbelievable. If this paper had been published ten years ago it would have been dismissed as raving from the lunatic fringe. But now we're one election away from Project 2025 replacing the Constitution and Bill of Rights as the country's governing document. The parallels with 1930s Germany are chilling.
The "Saving America by Saving the Family" document must simultaneously be taken as the ravings of rich idiots and as a dead serious proposal that may guide the law of the land within a year. Those rich idiots know that racism, sexism and "religion", as defined by them, is the way to get poor idiots on their side. Their plan is, little by little, to win over the low-information voters and pummel the rest into submission and apathy.
For now, they need the showbiz flash of Trump to hold the coalition together. But they know he won't last forever, and they are actively planning the succession into the inevitable world where the country has to be run by people who don't appeal to the fan base of the World Wrestling Federation. We can't afford to dismiss any of these moves, which are all designed to take us into that post-Trump future.

We have that right now but I would make one very specific change. Now all the burden is on the voter to cure their issue or the vote is throw out. I would put the burden on the government to prove that the voter committed voter fraud to throw out the vote. The Government already has all the data to prove citizenship or eligibility. The election officials should not have authority to throw out any vote but can only refer them for a criminal investigation. Voter fraud is a crime so it should require a serious investigation. This would target voter fraud instead of the SAVE Act objective of voter suppression. Once and for all we would have clear information on how rare is voter fraud. This should deter Trump and his supporters from making false claims of mass voter fraud.

In the 50s, 60s and 70s a single union paycheck could support a family of four, including buying a house and car, putting the two kids through college or trade school. After 45 years of Republican attacks on unions, outsourcing American manufacturing and war on the middle class, it takes two incomes and millions still struggle. Then, there is the high cost of required day care and health care. Republicans created this problem over 45 years of Reaganomics. Republicans don’t have the answer-they don’t even know the questions.
