Is our “reality TV” media up to the task of comparing and contrasting the two political parties, and judging the most likely outcomes of the directions they’ve chosen?
"Shocking Things Liberals Believe" is a good set of Democratic sound bites, simple, short, and easy to understand. Here's another one Republicans believe: "Good ideas harm people."
I would add, on the GOP list: Democracy is counterproductive to civilization. (i.e., giving the vote to the degraded underclass and Jews and females and melatoninized subhumans only holds back real (white) culture and achievement. Sound harsh? Check out William F. Buckley, "Up from Liberalism," 1961. p.s.: violence by the better-bred minority to resist this horror is justified. I have it second-hand in "The Yahoos", Mike Newberry, 1964. When Thom and I were young, (generational association only) Wm. F. Buckley was normalized into middle-class homes on TV as a respectable guru of conservatism. How corrupting was his weird, aristocratic pontificating, yet I gather sly and toned-down for mass consumption? Coyote and Loki/Mephistopheles surely welcomed him where he went.
Every "shocking thing" Liberals believe requires an alliance. The beauty is we can be from different cultures and still be an alliance. That's how you win the elections.
If you want the lights and camera of the media, you have to have action. All the action has been around corona, disasters, and crime. Often the theme in these stories being told is how the community has come together or how they want to make a come-back. Even in crime situations, people use the internet and human connections to solve whatever mystery is involved. The media is promoting alliances and community.
Republicans who come together over hateful ideology do not always stick together like the former Republican Party used to always do. Instead they have created their own little hell with a psychopath devil. There is trouble in the realm as I write. Trump has decided not to speak on 1/6. Bannon (among others) is incensed.
The media has a great deal of footage and commentary on the insurrection to show on the anniversary. Can Captain Chaos keep his mouth shut and let Marjorie and Matt be the only fools to speak? Allies, time to get out the popcorn!
