The tax figure buried near the bottom is the one nobody arguing "they're draining the country" will engage with: billions in taxes paid in, every year, by the population being marched out. Whatever this is optimizing for, it isn't the math.

Trump and his enablers, the Republican Party, shrug off our righteous fury as "derangement", but what is normal and natural about running over constitutional rights with a road grader? What is necessary and proper about rationalizing rank bigotry with protestations about criminality that is not supported by facts? They will have to answer to history's judgment, and no patri(idi)otic picnic party will smooth that over.

The wasps [the GOP], whose larvae [J.D., Rubio et al] eat a host [America] from the inside, are broadly called parasitoid wasps [the GOP] — a huge group that includes ichneumonid [Heritage and FOX], braconid [GOP Losers on the Hill], chalcid [6 on the USSC], and trichogramma wasps [Cali Billionaires]. These species lay eggs [Donald and Friends] inside another insect [the U.S. Gov't], and the larvae [Donald's, Witkoff's, and Lutnick's boys] consume the host’s tissues [the Pentagon's budget] as they grow, eventually killing it.

All for the love of Netty Net and Putie Pie.

Polls clearly show that the majority of American voters firmly agree with you. Democratic Party “leadership” and its equally-insular consultants don’t. Corporate media is increasingly irrelevant. We fail ourselves if we fail to support politicians and candidates who demonstrate willingness and ability to see the core issues and forcefully attack them.

All the white folk of this country are descendants of immigrants or invaders. Time to remind them.

The flag waving freak-show that Patriot Front put on in DC is a prime example of why we can no longer abide with TRump and his voters. Keep your integrity instead of THEM. Let's find friends that have some empathy.

Demonstrations are a good place to look for friends and organizations that will help you keep your sanity in "these days" that can literally make you sick. Thom and Company are bringing the light. See you in the streets.

I highly recommend The Meidas Touch Network, I've Had It Podcast, and The Dangerous Ones---all are on YouTube. They provide accurate information and some much needed laughs.

For a boost in morale about the youth of America, there is Adam Mockler, Harry Sisson, and Luke Beasley. Kyle Kulinski, Kyrstal Ball, Bryan Tyler Cohen and Keith Edwards are a bit older. All are on YouTube as well.

The truth is out there!

Yes to all of those great choices listed. Texas Paul on YouTube is a great down to earth, “ ride or die “ democrat, worth watching. Also Mr. Global, an energy expert who is calm, factual and a truth teller. I enjoy Jim Acosta and Scott McFarlane also when I have time. It’s truly shameful that the legacy media outlets have gone down the rabbit hole of magat-drinking koolaid BS and whitewashing the reality of the incompetence and corruption of the current regime. I never expected going into my senior years to be genuinely worried that my family’s future, let alone humanity in general, will be threatened to the extent of struggling just for basic survival and necessities brought about by the policies of the Republican pedophile party. They are definitely a death cult of white collar criminals, pedophiles, racists, religious nutters, and misogynistic bottom feeders.

My story exactly.

Genuine question for the people nodding along at "cut off your MAGA relatives": doing that in 2016 made some sense... nobody fully knew what they were voting for yet.

But 2024 needs a different explanation, and "he's evil and they knew" doesn't actually cover it.

A lot of the people who voted for him this time weren't voting for him. They were voting against nine straight years of being told that disagreeing with you makes them irredeemable, that the correct response to a family member's vote is exile, that quoting something he said in a campaign speech settles the argument. That's not resistance. That's the most effective, free turnout operation the GOP has ever had, and we built it ourselves.

I'm not saying this from the other side. I'm a liberal, I want him gone as much as anyone here. I just think "cut them off, quote the worst thing he said, feel righteous" doesn't shrink his power. It doubles it. It's the same move that got him re-elected, and doing it harder isn't a strategy, it's a habit.

Wrote the full autopsy on this if anyone wants THE RECEIPTS instead of just my TAKE.. Don't forget.. with the current AI research capability, we can actually quantify what outrage moves the needle and which way .. this should be something that anyone who follows politics is conscious of. And if they are not... Well they don't so much have a worldview as they do and Identity or a religion because ignoring the truth when you're the point where stance cannot survive evidence.. that's not a worldview. https://uncomfortable.rxansmithmedia.com/p/the-misplaced-outrage-on-the-left

I consider the following to pretty much explain what we're going through:

Definition of the Antichrist:

David Jeremiah describes the Antichrist in four ways:

He will be Charismatic. Daniel 7:20 says that he will be more imposing than anyone else because he will be a “horn that had eyes and a mouth that spoke boastfully.” A horn refers to strength and eyes speak of intelligence. Revelation 13:5 describes him as having a mouth that speaks proud words.

He will be Clever. Daniel 11:21, in the King James Version, says, “He shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.”

He will be Cultic. As we’ve seen in our passage for today, he will try to take over for God. Daniel 7:25 tells us that he will speak “against the most High.” Revelation 13:3 says that after the Antichrist’s fatal wound is somehow healed, the whole world will be “astonished and will follow the beast.” And because of his ability to do counterfeit miracles, signs, and wonders according to 2 Thessalonians 2:9, the inhabitants of the earth will be deceived. Revelation 13:14 adds that they will worship “An image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived.

He will be Cruel. After snatching power, his wickedness will be on display. Daniel 7:23 says that He will “devour the whole earth, trampling it down and crushing it.”

A shocking 1976 prediction:

Allow me to add to Thom's tale of why MAGAs seem unwilling to own their politics by asserting that they are not political - while asserting that they are devout Christians and true patriots.

While studying for my doctorate back in the late 70's, I participated in a fellowship grant program associated with a research institute where we learned our trade as psychologists by working as research staff and field workers on projects funded by federal grants. I was doing interviews and collecting survey data in mental-health clinics in major cities. My first visit to LA, I got woke to LGBTQ intolerance in a way both you and I were, and likely still are, blind to.

I was interviewing 2 or 3 teenage male prostitutes among the patients at the clinics almost every day. Some were as young as 14 or 15. Their evangelical parents, often from the Southwest, had thrown them out of the house when they discovered their sons were queer. In many cases, they were given a few $10 bills, and told never to set foot in their town again. They hitchhiked to Hollywood, then a notoriously gay mecca, in the hope of finding a more welcoming environment. Too young to get legitimate jobs, they were quickly recruited as prostitutes and drug runners in exchange for a shared apartment and spending money.

Many "Christian" religions in the US still do not tolerate homosexual and transgender parishioners. To those "flocks" being LGBTQ (a genomic birth anomaly), is a sin which merits rejection, not compassion. That remains the norm in the entire USA, not just MAGA voters. In America today, hatred and not respect, is the norm when it comes to sex-related matters. It is rarely hidden in social exchanges like post-ERA racism is in America today.

Also, how many know about Koch Industries, ALEC (American Legislative Exchange Council) and so many other institutions, including religious ones, that are under the radar, that have pushed their agenda to achieve basically where we are today, going backwards, not progressively forward, fighting against a rapidly warming planet ( Mother Earths FEVER), shared equality, etc. Inequality IS the enemy between us !! Great post Thom !! And love to ALL !! (the greatest gift)

propaganda. I wish the hosts on WJ would ask callers where they get their news.

On C-SPAN/ Washington Journal this morning midway thru the broadcast, the first call I heard was a Republican woman and she claimed communism is spreading in America due to the Democrats. This “generalization” I hear so many times coming from the “right”, makes me believe a real problem is “they”might not realize they are being manipulated by divisive

Yes, very well articulated. But as we go into November and I'm canvassing, people still want to know what the Dems immigration policy IS. They think it is just have open borders.

I think we need to recognise some of the issues MAGAs are fearful of---that too many immigrants come in, they overwhelm our commnities ability to pay for them, they take American jobs, and they are not vetted before arriving.

We have answers back for those fears, but we don't hear the Democratic candidates really addressing them. For example, you'll find many schools in California, that are almost ALL non-documented students, also the court system is way overwhelmed and backlogged for processing immigrants, and most come for economic reasons, not asylum which makes it legally harder. And they can see. that not all the jobs taken are ones Americans won't work; we have a huge East Asian Indian immigrant population that has become fabulously rich using the H-1b visa pipeline straight to high tech. I think I can respond to those fears, but we are not hearing a clear messge from the Democratic candidates or the party. The Dems need to say something like-- massively build up court review system; maybe have some kind of limits on the number?, reassure people that Americans can get these jobs? Dems need a policy.
