Eyes wide open everyone. The January 6, 2021 coup is ongoing. It’s never stopped. The Trumpist/Fascist ideology to grab and consolidate all power is far closer to completion than our political “leaders” want to see or admit. So it’s on US to stop and reverse the coup — through the ballot and a sustained mass movement to fulfill the promise of a real democracy and justice for all.
I keep shaking my head - why/how do folks allow him - well he gets others to do his dirty work - keep this farce going - and its hurting the very folks voting for him.
Audrey Long in Astoria, OR needs to take her completed ballot directly to her county courthouse as the preferred official ballot drop site. I live in Oregon and I do that where there is a guard in the lobby and I know it is secure. Since the arrival of Trump neofascism I cannot trust the PO to not screw with our elections. There are other ballot drop sites around my county, but unless there are 24/7 monitors and/or cameras they may be tampered with.
BTW, the real problem is that Trump is planning a self coup He does have his very own GESTAPO/SA/SS with ICE not to mention his paramilitary forces whether they be a militia or the Proud Boys. or the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Offiers Association.
Correcton to my comment, He is not planning, he is in the process of a self coup, I was oging to say slow moving, but now he has instructed ICE to arrest anyone in California and he is totally ignoring the courts, and his GESTAPO is running unchecked through the streets, shooting people.
They fired seven shots into a vehicle, that contained a 5 year old child, in NYC. And hauled away the victim, who was shot in the neck, before even paramedics could get to them, tell me that is not the tactics of the GESTAPO.

If you want someone to blame for the abysmal shap of the USPS, blame Biden. The board of governors is the only body, that can fire the Postmaster General and from the beginning of Biden's tour, and Trump 45 to now it is majority Republican. The board has 11 seats. One of which is the {PM and the other the Assistant, that leaves 9 seats to be filled by the President.
Two seats came vacant in Dec 2020, Biden filled them with a Democrat and a REPUBLICAN thus leaving the Republican majority in control. Two more seats came vacant in Dec 2022 and Biden did not fill them, thus leaving the Republicans in control of the USPS, He had two chances and did nothing.
This is starting to sound like what is happening in India, where Modi's government has purged about 130 million names from the voter list. Some are undoubtedly duplicates or deceased people, but allegedly there has been a strong bias against Muslims (who comprise 14% of India’s population) and other non-Hindu groups. Also the government is talking about making sure that "foreign illegal immigrants" don't vote. Dictators learn from each other.
If he wanted, Trump could go to election sites and see for himself that the elections are honestly run. But since he is married to conspiracy theories, he can't accept reality. This mental construct makes him particularly unfit to lead, and it extends from Trump to the entire Republican party, who accept his patent nonsense as their modus operandi.
My mail-in ballot took 19 days. 5 times the normal time.

Are we becoming like Russia? It's a legitimate question. Will November 3 be the beginning of the end of a nightmare or mark the further descent into horror?
Keep banging the drum, please. Here in PA, just outside Pittsburgh proper, Allegheny County has set up a number of places where we who vote by mail can drop off our ballots under safe and secure conditions. I would not, at this point, trust the USPS to deliver them intact and on time. We have our ballots and @ 2 weeks before Nov. 4, will drop them off. To be honest, I have my doubts about digital ballot boxes as well. I think we need to be loud and proud about our choices right up to the eleventh hour, to emphasize our support and stand against any claim that a blue wave did not materialize. This is OUR country. If MAGA and reprobate Republicans and their shadowy and corrupt local and foreign support don't get trounced this November, we will not go down without a fight.
Trump is going full bore subverting our elections doing everything he can legally do and a lot of things which are questionably legal. This is a five-alarm fire.
