As a black male who served this government in uniformed services for three decades. I am appalled but not surprised by the overt racism being displayed by our si called leaders Our dear leader has embarrassed himself and does not deserve to be in power. He doesn't represent the majority of the good people of this nation. Unfortunately there are a minority of citizens who are still ignorant enough to be racist. I've dealt with racism all my life, but this is one of the worst display displays of race hate, and white supremacy I have witnessed in my entire life. I dont feel like my sacrifice in the military has been rewarded with " life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness " This meme clearly shows how much the administration feels about minorities. They think we are less than human?! God bless us all, our country has slid into fascism and racism is the fuel. On a positive note, alot of my good white brothers and sisters are standing up for civil liberties, hallelujah!
White veteran here. I was so happy to get away from my segregated town and work with some black soldiers.
Many years later, that town is now actually integrated. Lots of mixed-race people, some of my cousins too.
This is a set-back and you described it perfectly: ".....our country has slid into fascism and racism is the fuel." These younger people are getting a real education on these issues. I saw many more of them at the last rally. Hope!
How can anyone of color ignore this. And next it will be us Jews, Muslims, Mormons, Catholics Buddhists Hindi, atheists and anyone else who is not a white Christian nationalist.
