The forces that shaped him didn’t stay in the past: they grew with power, fueling the cruelty and chaos now hitting your wallet, your safety, and America’s place in the world…
Obviously, POSOTUS and a number of his toadies need to be prosecuted and punished for all of their many, many crimes. And we might regain a scintilla of lost world stature if we then present them, even in absentia, to The Hague.
Trump doesn't need to go to the Hague. He needs to be impeached, given a trial, found guilty, and face a firing squad. We need to make an example of him so no president in the future ever thinks of trying this BS again. Trump's idol is Hitler, and that's who he's emulating, and that is why we need to execute him. We will not tolerate fascism in this country ever.
So, why is he still President?why is he never held accountable for his many crimes against the American people? Why is a pedophile a n felon with a trail of evidence still our president? Why is he still in office after declaring repeatedly that he is going to arrest and imprison Democrats? Why was he pardoned for trying to illegally overturn a fair election in January 2020 ? Page 2 follows …….
Because America is owned by a handful of rich and powerful people, who jerk around their narrow minded, fearful, self righteous bigoted base by the short and curlies.
Consider Trump, the man has dementia, a low IQ, is semi literate, enough to type on a smart phone, listens to no one, thinks he knows everything.
Do you think that he is orchestrating this chaos and mayhem? Hell no. He is a puppet, a tool and a fool, who is manipulating by fellating his frail ego He has no principles, no values, no ideas, he is an empty vessel, so long as his need for power, money and vengeance are fulfilled. Other than that he is as useless and dumb as a sack of rocks, except in one thing, He is super intelligent as to how to use and manipulate people.
He threatened to sue Bill Maher for joking that his father was an orangutan, Maher went to Mar a Lago and had dinner with him and came back praising how gracious he was,and that he wasn't the guy we saw on TV.
It’s even worse than I thought. I assumed that those supporting Trump were doing so because he had The Dirt on them. A friend suggested they comply with him to protect their families from getting murdered. Whatever it is, it is dark.
The absurdity of essentially paying Iran to fight us was bound to happen when we are fighting not for freedom or justice, but to try to prop up our two biggest industries, oil and weapons. In the Middle East, those two industries can get in each other's way a lot.
The Ouroboros, an ancient symbol and entity depicting a serpent or dragon devouring its own tail.
From Heather this morning:
In a frantic attempt to lower oil prices, the administration on Friday lifted sanctions on Iranian oil currently at sea. Iranian oil has been sanctioned since 1979. The lifting of sanctions will enable Iran to sell about 140 million barrels of oil, worth about $14 billion, including to the United States and to China.
National security scholar Phil Gordon, who served as the White House coordinator for the Middle East, North Africa, and the Persian Gulf Region during the Obama administration, posted: “When Obama sent Iran $400m + $1.3bn in interest in 2016 Trump called it ‘insane’ and he and others spent a decade mocking the idea of ‘pallets of cash’ even though it was Iran’s own money, American prisoners were released, courts were likely to require the U.S. payment, and Iran had just agreed to significant and verified reductions and restrictions on its nuclear program for 15+ years.
“Now Trump is giving Iran up to ten times that amount of revenue—one of the most significant measures of sanctions relief provided to the Islamic Republic since its founding—in exchange for marginal and temporary relief from the big increase in oil prices his actions have caused, without any concessions from Tehran, and even as Iran continues to target the United States, its allies, and world oil supplies. No way to read as anything other than desperate recognition of the situation Trump’s own actions have created and the lack of available alternatives for dealing with it.”
On Meet the Press today, Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) said: “We’re gonna give Iran $14 billion to fund this war with the United States? We’re gonna give Russia billions of dollars to fund their war with Ukraine? We’re literally putting money into the pockets of the very nations that we are fighting right now. We’ve never seen this level of incompetence in war-making in this country’s history.”
All to please his friends BB and MBS, as we write there are secret communications between Israel and the Saudi's, about responding to Iran and it's missile attacks.
Big trouble for the Saudi's if this breaks public with the Muslim world.
It is no coincidence that BB, after launching the first strike to decapitate the regime, has now launched an invasion of Lebanon, with plans to move settlers into South Lebanon, according to Ha'aretz
However it looks like the Sunni Shia split winner will be Turkey, not Saudi Arabia
Both Khameini and the president of Iran have Turkish ancestry, and in that part of the world, unlike in America where we forget our history and ancestry, in the mid east and Iran they don't., yesterday is as relevant as today.
Turkey has been making brotherhood overtures to the Kurd. Turkey’s former Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu, the leader of the conservative Future Party, warned that Israel could try to derail Turkey’s peace initiative with the Kurds by provoking ethnic violence in Turkey, a statement that mirrors the fear-mongering of Israeli right-wing politicians.
If Erdogan plays it smart and weathers the storm, he will come out as the power broker in the mid east, and who knows a neo Sultanate.
Mostly to distract from Epstein. From the polls. From a pending election he can lose.
Google: A poll conducted by Data for Progress found that 52% of American voters believe President Trump launched the war at least in part to distract from the Epstein scandal.
Partisan Split: Belief in the "distraction" theory varies by party: 81% of Democrats, 52% of Independents, and 26% of Republicans surveyed agree with this view.
Online Trends: Google Trends data indicates that public interest in the Epstein revelations dropped significantly (some analysts say by up to 95%) immediately following the start of military operations on February 27, 2026.
I am not a betting man, but if I were I wouldn't bet on Epstein even shaking the foundations.
More than anything those, that aren't MAGA that voted for Trump are disillusioned, the Muslims sure are, those who didn't want us in a war sure are.
What the polls say have nothing to do with what the polls at election time.
Trump distracts, he has always distracted, yet there he sits. Yeh I know we was robbed, but then again if no one pursues, much less captures and prosecutes the robber then so what
Laws without consequences are a farce
In November will enough Democrats and Independents fed up with Trump turn out to vote, and if they do what effect will the following have?
1. Voter caging (vote rolls purging)
2. Voter suppression laws, over 100 of them already passed in red states)
3. Poll watchers RNC has/is training 10,000 of them for disputed districts, possibly ICE and/or armed.
4. MAGA election commissions,
5, Restrictions on mail in voting, ballot boxes even last minute relocation of voting booths.
6. Dominion voting machines bought by a Republican activist, and a friend of Ed Martin.
Most of these actions will take place in red states, and it is in red states that the Republican party is slipping, Texas especially, The Republican party will win or lose the mid term in the red states.
I have heard nothing of the Democatic Party's plans for the mid terms in the red states. So far it has been the efforts of the individual candidates.
There are some bright lights, Stratton in Illinois was outspent by the Republican but won anyone, but Illinois is not a red state.
Anyway the Epstein scandal hasn't heard Trump in the slightest, any time it shows in the news,it is an annoyance like a flea bite, he just creates chaos and changes the subject.
We have all watched how Trump handles the news cycle, even bad poll ratings don't stop him. What does is the stock market, he, his family those who made him live and die on the stock market, as long as the stock market performs he is comfortable.
Epstein files, yes keep banging on them, demand them, especially so we can punish the perps (which will never happen, IMO Clinton, all of them partook in the vaginas of those girls, but proving it is another thing)
We're fighting for oil, weapons, and the reserve currency status that allows the US to pay its bills with debt and keep taxes low for the wealthy elites. Iran had the gall to sell oil to China in yuans instead of dollars.
Gold has dropped more than 10% in the past week, probably because China has been selling it, to exacerbate the oil crisis. The markets just closed. Whereas mostly up because Trump said he'd leave Iranian oilfields alone for 5 days, gold dropped even more.
This is the scenario from Google:
Reduced Treasury Holdings: China has been reducing its holdings of U.S. Treasury bonds for over a decade, bringing them to their lowest levels since 2008.
Yuan Trade Settlement: Russia and China have rapidly moved to trade in yuan and rubles, with the dollar's share in their bilateral trade falling below 50 percent for the first time by 2020.
Gold Accumulation: China has significantly increased its gold reserves—estimated to be closer to 3,000–5,000 tons than the officially reported 2,300 tons—to decrease reliance on the dollar.
Petroyuan Initiative: China is encouraging GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) countries and other trade partners to accept payment for energy in yuan rather than dollars.
Digital Currency Development: China is building a parallel, non-dollar based financial system, partially through the expansion of the "digital renminbi".
Alternative Payment Systems: By fostering its own cross-border interbank payment system (CIPS), China is mitigating the impact of potential US-led financial sanctions.
And in addition to that, the BRICS have a new currency called the “Unit” that is 50% gold and 50% the average of the original 5 currencies, if I remember right.
It's off the high about 15%. Last week was a disaster.
Up today because of the Trump allegation, which was rejected by Iran....markets were higher in the a.m.
The thing about the markets is they're generally cyclical, so whereas some stuff like SaaS, subsrcption software is down more than 50%, other stuff, like energy is up.
Energy prices are like taxes....
The joke is that most of the energy involved is obsolete. Got to be depreciating assets.
And now two Canadian pilots are dead because Trump and the Republicans won't fund the air traffic controllers, causing US airports and airspace to be unsafe.
Are we seeing "spontaneous combustion" igniting the wrath and frustration of the people? Will March 28 be the new "ides of March" day for Trump and company to regret their misdeeds? Only millions of people in the streets will finally shake them up and motivate more of the people with power and influence to flex their muscles and use their power to apply the brakes. The radical reactionary conservatives used one man to terrorize the entire country. Taking him down will leave them flailing and demoralized. He must be the target and the focus of our attention right now. Epstein, illegal war, internal chaos, and interminable grift and graft have to be highlighted and kept front and center. The time to cut off the head of the snake is now. The followers will fold and fade without his constant agitation and prodding.
I think that we have a serious problem. Palantier (Peter Thiel and the Broligarchy) have a data base in which are the personal details of every person in America, it also is tied into the Pentagon, Anthropic, an AI, was used to target Iran, but it refused to do the bidding of Trump and Hegseth, by allowing the AI to be autonomous and to surveille the citizens, so the contract was cancelled.
Meanwhile the National Data Center at Bluffdale, Ut screens all electonic communications with AI, and I do not doubt that it and Palantir are in communication. They know your habits and preferences, especially if you shop on line, or visit porn sites, your bank accounts and you can't hide by using crypto, because crypto payments are made electronically.
We are going to have to think, work and communicate analog
And if I were a Republican, hearing from the President of the United States of America that he wants to imprison Democrats, I would be very concerned. If the Democratic Party members are not safe from attacks by this president, then none of us are safe from his attacks against the American people.
Oh well, I guess we have to accept the fact that we are being led by a bunch of drunk frat boys with a real sicko at the helm and Congress allowing it to happen....

A concise summary of our state of affairs that is simply not tolerable so let's not tolerate it. Protect elections. Elect fighters who will 1) defend the Constitution and impeach or prosecute those who do not. 2) End the monopoly of US mass media (print, TV, radio, newspapers, social). 3)make it a federal fraud crime to use mass media to lie to the public for financial gain or political power; 4)allow state citizens to recall their federal officials who do not uphold the constitution and establish a process for localities to appt the House replacement and a statewide process to select a replacement Senator. 5) put federal limits on campaign contributions and eliminate super PACS. 6) require all federal officials to pass a standard test about our system of govt in order to take the oath of office. 7) impeach members of SCOTUS for failure to uphold our laws and constitution. IMO we will not get out of this governance nightmare without all of these changes. If we can change congress in the Midterms, we better move fast.
There is no doubt that the US economy is going to take a humongous hit that will last for the foreseeable future. Lack of fertilizer just at planting time, the unavailability of LNG due to the destruction of the Qatar facility and the continued closure of the Strait.
And yet today the stock market was up almost 1,000 points at one point. Someone is drinking the kool-aid. There is no way that corporations will come out of this mess unscathed, and it will be even worse for the rest of us.
The GOP and the Supreme Court are 100% responsible for the rise of Trump, the voters should go after every Republican running for office and expose the list of destruction they have created. Of course Trump will steal the election again, as long as the stupid billionaires, oil barons and AIPAC keep giving him unlimited amounts of money and Fox News keeps cheering Trump on. The right wing is buying up the voting machines (I wonder why).
Like Elon Musk said to Tucker Carlson "hacking voting machines is easy". Trump said "Elon knows a lot about voting machines, that is why I won with a landslide".
I blame the weak democrats for the mess we are in, they had 4 years to discredit Trump,
They should have been much more aggressive and exposed his lies, nobody bragged about all Biden's achievements (including. Biden himself). Trump is a master at self promotion and millions of American admire that, they see it as strength.
No?. I am registered as a Democrat, so yes I am a Democrat. I have contributed to campaigns through Act blue, so yes I am a democrat, but I don't get any part of my identity from a political party, religion, ethnicity or any other category.
I am me, and I think for myself, I don't have beliefs, but I have opinions aplenty, I arrive at opinions, I don't acquire them, I am not a joiner and cannot be manipulated, shamed or terrorized into joining or silence.
The difference between beliefs and opinions is beliefs are part of one's identity, thus hard if not impossible to shed. Opinions, with an input of new information and opinion can be changed, with no pyschic harm to one's identity.
And, there are still so many billionaire/trillionaires flooding this administration with money in exchange for contracts of all kinds (now, more lucrative war contracts), support for deregulation, and cover from Epstein involvement and crimes.
In my experience working in a maximum security prison as a teacher, I came in contact with a number of sociopaths (malignant narcissists) like Trump and, finding them fascinating, made a study of them. The mental health community is not yet of a mind as to whether this condition is inherited or a result of environment, but it may be some of both--an inborn predilection which gets activated by experience. I really think it is difficult for "normal" people to come to grips with the sociopathic mind. Normal people live for love--whether it be for people or maybe a pursuit. We cannot imagine a mind that is devoid of ethics or empathy--but such is the case with sociopaths. So, they live for power, including money which is a form of power. They are not invincible or so many wouldn't be in jail. But they are very cunning, conniving and smart because their thought processes are not slowed down by issues of ethics and empathy. They can be chess moves ahead. In this, it is good to look not at the immediate effects of their actions but to look at more long range outcomes. With regard to the unwarranted attacks on Iran, for motive we might look to the billions that Iran's enemy countries in the Middle East have been bribing Trump to do their bidding since way back in his first presidency. He has been being paid to collude with Israel to attack Iran, and we know he likes money. But sociopaths rarely do anything for just one outcome. Consider this: Shortly before the Iran attacks, Trump had the FBI gut their task force for detecting Iranian sleeper cells. Seems strange. Keep in mind that more important than anything else right now is Trump's need to cancel the coming Midterm Elections because he knows his power cannot survive them. He needs an excuse to cancel the elections that he can blame on national security. What better plan than to cut the FBI's ability to detect possible Iranian attacks on the US and then create the provocation for Iran to stage an attack on the US. It wouldn't even have to happen while the war is still going on. He has carpet bombed Iran and killed many of the ruling family. Revenge may be just what he is looking for. Now I know that many are documenting the physical and mental decline that Trump is experiencing, and some would question whether he is still capable of executing plans. But keep in mind that he has been doing this all his life. It is ingrained in his personality just like his fake persona that he is powerful. It is who he is, and the only thing debility will do is make him more reckless. I delve into such matters further in my booklet, Common Cents Economics: Economics, Politics, and Mass Hysteria," which I have serialized on my Substack along with regular posts. Shea Foote @ Substack.com. Please encourage me by subscribing.
The problem with the truths you tell Thom is this: you make clear that the only solution to this grotesque creature, and probably a goodly number of those around him, is the final one. However that may happen. Not remotely what this country should require or likely can survive, certainly not in anything resembling the America we once were, or thought we were.
Yes, there is November. But that is a long way off, looking at how fast this narcissistic, insecure psychopath is breaking things. A lot of us have zero confidence that IF those elections happen, they will be enough to change things as much as is necessary. Which gets us back to my first paragraph. Full stop.
BOOM !!! ....drops mic and walks off stage left.....
Thom Hartmann...you bring the truth like a heat seeking Tomahawk Missile....

It's insider trading, pumping and dumping.
We need unity. BLAME REPUBLICANS. We are a minority party.
IMHO we wuz screwed.
If one does not accept responsibility for their failing, then there is no remedy.
One has to admit mistakes, weaknesses and failings before you can correct them and move on.
Blaming some one else, is counter productive, stifles growth
Face your deficits, your failings, your weaknesses and correct them, then you can grow.
We wuz screwed.
You keep saying that, but so what? Nothing has happened, Nothing will happen, You are beating a dead horse.
Yes we were screwed, but so what, do something about it.
Whining we wuz robbed is lame. Don't whine do somethiing
"We" doesn't include you....you're not a Democrat.
"Our" failing is BS.
To win, "we" need unity. https://substack.com/@dncgrassrootsteam
Negativity, as the song goes, won't pull; you through.
Thank you!! Wish it were required reading!!
Full stop.
The problem is that we sing to the choir. All of us, how do we break outside the echo chamber the bubble we live in.?
Thanks Thom.
