I have felt extremely angry over this exact thing: Americans who work for a living are paying taxes while Corporations who reap billions of dollars because there are so many of us who buy the corporate products, do not pay taxes.

This is the rotten cancer in the USA. My Question has been: Why can’t we,as a huge population who vote, why can’t we reverse this cancer that is killing us? What is wrong here?

I participate in boycotts because it seems that boycotts are the only tool we have to fight back with. But our only resource, boycotting corporations is not enough. Not even close!

Why don’t we get together as a Democracy and permanently expel this horrendous handicap, this crime that punishes us, once and for all?

What is standing in our path and how can we the people overthrow this burden that is crippling us?

I don't have a title, Thom, but I have a suggestion for a book I wish someone (you?) would write. Having just watched the film "Citizen K" about the demise of Khodorkovsky, the richest oligarch in Russia, after the collapse of the Soviet Union, I was struck by the similarity in events leading up to Putin's rise to power and today's dissolution of our Republic. Khodorkovsky's effort to establish a democracy faced overwhelming opposition from the devastated economy & Putin's growing popularity as the Strongman promising to save the country.

The book we need, in my opinion, is a manual as to how to construct a functioning and dictator-resistant democracy within the framework of 21st-century America. The holes blown through our outdated Constitutional Republic are irreparable because they map out a clear path to oligarchy & dictatorship. IF & WHEN this regime cracks, we can't go back to business as usual, as was tried after the first Trump presidency and each time a Democratic president got in office and did a cursive tidying up of the GOP corruption, without tending to the sink holes left in the social network. Thanks for reading, and for all you do, Thom.

America Inc.: The Hidden History of How America became a corporation.

"The Business of America is business" Calvin Coolidge

America Inc, has a CEO, called a President. The President is chosen by the vote of the enfranchised members of the corporation. It is a conglomerate of many corporations,.

The selection process for CEO begins with a competition among office seekers, who have to prove their ability to garner attention in a process called a Primary election. however the corporate owners monitor aspirants to ensure that they are acceptable, this is called vetting.

And those that the deem most worthy, become the recipient of support in form of backing and funding by the party, and it's donors,

The corporate owners of America Inc, via their boards of directors, assess the two competitors that survive the vetting and primary process, and throw their weight, in the form of public exposure and financial support behind their chosen one.

Mark Twain said "History doesn't repeat itself, it rhymes", What he meant is that the events don't occur exactly the same, but they re occur in similar fashion, after all the nature and character of humans has not changed since we lived in the Savannah or cave

It doesn't take a majority to take over a country, only an organized and well funded minority.

Hitler proved that, he took over Germany with 3.48% of the population. In Dec 1932 there were only 2.3 million members of the NSDAP, out of 66 million Germans.

And Corporate masters thought that they could finance Hitler, and thus Make Germany Great Again. In fact that was a slogan of the NSDAP. But because they had the money and control of resources they could control Hitler. Fritz Thyssen wrote a book about it "I Paid Hitler" after he was forced to flee to Spain.

Are the techbros, the oil cabal, the MIC headed in the same direction as Thyssen, Krupp, Porsche, Bayer? They all thought that they could control Hitler, and he had a mere 3.48% of the German people captivated. Trump has over 30%, and they ain't budging.

Middle class Venezuelans held on during Chavez, and Maduro until they couldn't take it anymore.

How many Americans have their passports, and a bank account to empty? Not that it would do us any good, developed nations aren't interest in taking in Americans, and undeveloped or developing nations don't speak English, except may Liberia and Belize.
