Criminals Always Gonna Crime — But Now They’ve Taken Over the Oval Office
The Trump presidency is the most corrupt in American history — and now it’s openly breaking laws, ignoring judges, and threatening us all with the power of the state…

Criminals always gonna crime.
The Trump administration is the most corrupt in, arguably, the entire history of the United States. Never before has a president charged $1 million a head for people to have dinner with him, openly catered to campaign donors or offered to gut regulations in exchange for a big donation, and ran a scam crypto operation out of the White House. He’s also the first convicted felon and accused rapist to serve as president.
And now he’s threatening to put people like you and me in prison or even deport us to a foreign torture chamber.
The highest levels of the Trump administration are embracing their boss’s criminality full-on right now, refusing to acknowledge a legal court order to not deport people to El Salvador. Judge Boasberg has scheduled a hearing for next week to determine if he’s going to hold any of Trump’s lawyers in contempt, a process that could see them incarcerated, fined, and/or facing the loss of their law licenses.
When podcaster John Favreau questioned Vice President Vance about the matter, the former hedge fund multimillionaire and billionaire protégé simply lied, saying that the most famous of the deportees is “a convicted MS-13 gang member with no legal right to be here”; in fact, there’s no meaningful evidence he is a gang member and he did have a legal right to be here in the US.
But lies are how the Trump regime rolls these days. And when they get caught in their lies, they just tell more lies to try to cover up the first lies, as Judge Boasberg is discovering.
While much of the media’s attention is now focused on the deportee Vance lied about, Kilmar Abrego Garcia — a 27-year-old Maryland resident who was in the US legally, is the husband of a US citizen, and the father of a US citizen child with autism who is desperately missing his father — the bigger story is that the Trump regime is now claiming that they can arrest, detain, and even deport anybody they want, any time they want, regardless of the law or the courts.
They claim that they’ve only arrested and deported non-citizens, but the simple reality is that there’s no way to know that because all of those men now in that El Salvadoran hellhole were denied their rights under our Constitution to legal representation and their day in court.
And that is a crime itself. Committed, this time, by our own government.
By criminals within our government, to be specific.
And then puppy-killing DHS Secretary Kristi Noem had the temerity to fly to El Salvador — knowing these men were illegally abducted and deported in defiance of a court order — and have herself photographed in a tight top exaggerating her breasts while wearing a $50,000 Rolex watch with what appeared to be hair extensions and lip augmentation, in front of the people she had disappeared from America that she was using as props, another clear violation of US and international law.
It has to be one of the most astonishingly disgusting bits of cruelty porn to emerge since the Abu Ghraib scandals.
The first ten amendments to our Constitution are often called the Bill of Rights because they lay out the very specific rights that every person on our soil is entitled to when confronted by the force of government, citizen or not.
The Fourth Amendment to the US Constitution says the police can’t just kick in your door and drag you off, as has apparently happened to all of these deportees:
“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause…”
Not a word there about “except for bad people.”
The Fifth Amendment is unambiguous:
“No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury … nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law…”
Not even the implication of “except for non-citizens.”
The Sixth Amendment says:
“In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defence.”
Not even a hint that the president is welcome to ignore it.
The Seventh Amendment adds:
“[T] he right of trial by jury shall be preserved…”
Doesn’t even imply that we can simply snatch people off the streets and throw them into jail or deport them to a foreign prison without at least running them first by a judge and jury.
And the Eighth Amendment emphasizes:
“Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.”
Nowhere in the Constitution does it say, or even imply, that these rights are limited to US citizens; they apply to every person in the US, legally, illegally, or any status in-between.
Similarly, the foreign students in US universities who said bad things about Trump’s fellow autocrat Netanyahu were apparently also denied due process before being arrested and sent to a Louisiana private prison notorious for its deadly conditions.
This is an extraordinarily dangerous road to travel. If the Trump regime can secretly arrest and then disappear people who are legally in the US — or even without legal status — without any sort of court proceedings and then argue that, because they’re now outside the US there’s nothing they can do about it, they can do the same to you and me.
And if you think your citizenship will protect you from Trump invoking the Alien Enemies Act, remember that the last time this law was invoked (during World War II against Japanese Americans) it was used to imprison American citizens.
Every government in modern history that has begun arresting and imprisoning their own citizens for speaking out, from Italy and Germany in the 1930s to Russia and Hungary today, first began with “illegal immigrants.” And once they start, they generally don’t stop.
Either the rule of law means something or it doesn’t. Either the government follows the Constitution or it doesn’t. Either every person in the US has rights that can be enforced in court, regardless of the charges against them, or we don’t.
There is no middle ground.
The middle ground the Trump regime is asserting, in fact, isn’t a middle ground at all; it’s the beginning of the end of the rule of law in this country.
And without the rule of law, the very thing that made America exceptional for centuries has vanished.
Under Trump, we are no longer America; we have become something very different, something we see darkly when we look at life in Russia, Hungary, or China.
This is what happens when you let criminals run government.

The most dangerous aspect, in a sea of danger, is that big law is caving to EOs that are facially illegal. A president can issue executive orders for the sole purpose of ensuring that existing laws are “faithfully executed.” He can’t issue them to challenge existing law, he can’t issue them to retaliate against firms that applied existing law, and he can’t issue them prophylactically to insulate himself from assured legal consequences in the future.
While the media kvetches over tariff’s they are missing the real picture, where it is headed

It seems to me that we are currently on United States Flight 93, the terrorists have locked themselves in the cockpit, and we know they have no intention of ever landing the plane.
Today, Donald Trump took a baseball bat to the world economy before shooting America in the head by slapping a massive wall of tariffs on countries around the world with a rationale that was absolutely Kafka-esque. The markets have no idea what he’s doing or why—and uncertainty is death to investors.
Trump put a formula in his Executive Order to make things seem more scientific, or something, but it’s mathematically meaningless—two of the variables are set to result in the number 1 which is then multiplied by another number. Calling it brain-dead is too generous.
Trump slapped tariffs on uninhabited islands, and places populated exclusively by penguins, while also increasing tariffs on China to an insane 54% tax on their goods. which they will pass on to every American.
What’s important to understand is that Trump is replicating the conditions for an economic depression—on purpose. ICYMI, the Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act by Hoover in 1930 was an attempt to generate “more revenue” but actually turned a recession into the Great Depression. This is a feature not a bug for the Trump regime.
There are people who are trying to call this a “risk” or a “gamble,” while others are calling it a “big mistake.” It is neither. A financial meltdown is exactly the result they want and expect.
The PayPal Mafia, led by Musk, Thiel, and David Sacks—who is now White House “AI and Cryptocurrency Tsar”—have wanted to destroy the dollar and replace it with digital currency controlled by them for nearly 30 years. That’s what PayPal was originally for. Now they intend to replace the dollar with Bitcoin—no matter what the rest of us think of that idea. This isn’t a proposal, it’s sabotage, massive fraud, and the greatest heist in US history.

When I was a kid I went to New York City with my mom and there was a three card monte game going on the sidewalk so I made her stop to watch it. After a while I got the hang of it and told my mom I wanted to try it. She warned me I would never see the money again but agreed to forward me some allowance anyway, so I gave the guy $10 and he laid out the c…
We can see what’s happening right in front of our eyes. There is no version of this story where democracy survives if we continue to sit quietly in our seats on Flight 93. The economy is just one target. If we stay on this trajectory, this regime will destroy our freedom, steal our resources, co-opt our government and end the American Experiment permanently. The relative peace since WWII will be replaced by a world torn apart by wars, oppression, and genocide.
So, as Todd Beamer said more than 23 years ago:
“Are you ready?”
