Listened to Thom's Monday interview with the anti vaccinator. I personally would give up on talking with these people. We did not eradicate smallpox with partisan politics. Polio and other virus's the same. People (probably Tucker Carlson) that have had the vaccine and discourage others should be put in jail. They have not taken anybody's Bibles, guns, freedom or whatever for a vaccination. I would prefer that we ship excess vaccines to countries that want it and let the unvaccinated Americans get the Delta Variant. Natures way.

There is a reason that Trump loves the poorly educated. They have enabled him to serve his master, Putin the oligarchia di tutti oligarchia. And we all seemed to have forgotten about it.

This is the ultimate battle between the libs that want to work and cooperate to stop the virus from replicating and the right-wingers that insist on rugged individualism at all costs. Sadly, it is costing society a lot. It echoes the business model of a cost/benefit ratio of "what is a life worth?".

The premise that you give up your right to speed or drink and drive, in order to save yourself or your loved ones--- makes perfect sense. However, it doesn't stop folks from doing it. What has helped is messaging. Get in the way-back machine and revisit how Trump promised the vaccines, touted the vaccines, and took the vaccine. All this would still be good, but it no longer serves HIM or the PARTY. What serves the GOP at this stage is to foment disillusion with anything the Democrats do. It is simplistic, and it is simply killing people.

Conservatives think in black and white; they don't do nuance. When it comes to decisions they "shoot from the hip". If a liberal studies something to make an informed decision, that is dithering to them. So unfortunately, when confronted with a situation where stats change, new info comes into play, and current results come in from studying the virus, they are not wired for creating or living with new solutions. Instead of battling the virus Republicans have chosen to battle us, after all that was the ORIGINAL plan. How very conservative of them.
