He really thought he would get some political benefit from taking credit for operation warp speed, and he continued to say that he was instrumental in getting the vaccines ready, while at the same time then starting to side with the "it's a hoax" crowd.
It's just amazing that Trump could maintain support when he stood completely on both sides of this issue.
