Control of our schools is essential to the GOP undoing the “wokeness“ of the Millennial Generation and returning the US to a "1950s Beaver Cleaver" kind of racial order
The mention of Bill Bennett literally makes me sick. But, I guess if you have to use it to educate people about the far right agenda, say it you must.
Ah yes, Leave It To Beaver, a fictional family that was supposed to depict the humor and life lessons in the "real" America. There was Ozzie and Harriet, Make Room For Daddy, Father Knows Best, The Donna Reed Show, ad nauseam. They were colorless in more ways than one. There were absolutely no people of color, and no one could afford color TV. Pure (as in undiluted) white propaganda.
What changed all that? ACTIVISTS....many born in the earlier part of the century, but when the Boomers joined them holy hell broke loose. I LOVE my generation. Sex, drugs, rock and roll, and college unrest, yea there was all that, but we were also what you would call today "essential workers". Boy did the TV line-up change!
There was no idyllic America in the 50's; there's nothing to go back to. Unfortunately, going back to being ignorant is always an option. In 2021 there is no excuse for not knowing the real America. The ugly parts are happening in front of your face, on TV, and everywhere on the net. All that Republican ugly is much more overt thanks to the previous administration.
I have found being an activist is a great gig; I've been doing it for years even though the pay sucks!
The "Republican Party" Doald Trump, Marjorie Taylor Green, Lauren Boebert, Matt Gaetz, etc. Party leaders. Liz Cheney, Out. Do not speak the truth in the Republican Party.

Archie Bunker changed it all.
