I've posted previously that I think that the Chinese are supressing new discoveries, that displace our need for rare earth minerals. I was talking about Musks crypto currency named Doge, not the Dept of Government Effeciency.

The phony gold standard. the British Economist Arthur Kitson completely destroyed the idea in his 19th Century book A Fraudulent Standard.

He who controls the gold controls the economy. Gold has been the cause of recurrent depressions and even inflations.

The conquest of the America's caused gold inflation, the mines of Potosi, Bolivia caused silver inflation, spurred the renaissance but brought down the Spanish Empire.

The Comstock Lode, at first caused great prosperity, but so much silver caused an inflation, Congress intervened and demonetized silver, resulting in a long depression, a seven years depression.

You probably heard the phrase "Not worth a Continental" as the currency was called during the revoluton. What you weren;t told is that the Continental was countefeited into obscurity by the Bank of England.
