It's a way for us to let politicians know what we want, regardless of party. If we can agree on the ICP Principles and use those to evaluate and determine which candidates to vote for, then we can create the political influence necessary to overcome Trump and the issues that led to him.

Our current elected leaders are responding to Trump's threats to use his political influence aganist them. If we build sufficient counter-political influence they will be able to stand up to him. As daunthing a task as that seems, I don't see an alternative.

Congressional Republicans (and Democrats) will do what's in their self-interest as we all do. We have the political power to demand what is in our collective self-interest. It's up to us to decide what that is and to collectively demand it.
