It turns out that the 2016 Trump campaign was most definitely "colluding" (euphemism for spying) with Putin's military intelligence unit (GRU). And it sure seems that this little missing factoid of protected information shows Manafort (at least) crossing over the line to an actual "conspiracy" with a foreign government to influence a critical U.S. election. With this crew, we all suspected some degree of criminality and un-American activity of course, but now the outward proof has been exposed by the Biden Administration and is too big and lumpy to sweep under the carpet.

It also turns out that the Trump/Putin Administration no doubt covered up this key piece of evidence during Mueller's investigation. That would be yet another provable obstruction of justice charge, which is a major crime. What are we up to now -- ten from the Mueller Report, probably several more from Trump's Ukraine impeachment, and who knows what juicy evidence of felony obstruction has been frantically disposed of since the 1/6 white-christian-nationalist-fascist insurrection, "a date which will live in infamy," Trump's baby all the way?

These despicable, traitorous bastards absolutely need to be investigated in every venue possible: a congressionally appointed truth and reconciliation commission of knowledgeable experts (Yes, filter out loudmouthed blabberheads who refuse to act in good faith, which nowadays means nearly all Republican politicians afraid of their base of white nationalists and religious whackos); full-on DOJ investigations at both national and state levels where applicable; a horde of investigative journalists frothing at the mouth, turning over every turd. And by all means, hound these rotten bastards relentlessly in the court of public opinion, which they have tried so hard to manipulate in the furtherance of their lies and treacheries.

What about the long-running, deliberate criminal negligence that caused the unnecessary deaths of hundreds of thousands? Well, that's a crime against humanity and a job for the International Criminal Court at The Hague, that is once the Biden Administration rejoins it.

The wheels of justice turn slow, but this is too slow.

The two bipartisan commissions that Thom referenced (Warren and 9/11) were craven and disgraceful efforts to give the illusion of justice, but were nothing more than pig lipsticking coverups. Doing the same for the 1/6 insurrectionistas would not only be another huge waste of tax payer dollars, it would sweep yet another democracy-degrading event under the rug. If Biden has the courage to do this properly, he will instruct Merritt Garland and the Justice Dept to pursue the investigation with all due diligence and haste, and keep our congressional corporate whores out of the way.

Well said! How to make it happen?

On the other hand, if your life was threatened and your sacred duty to this country disrupted, would you pass-up the chance to investigate every way possible and right now? NOPE! Being human is a real disadvantage when it comes down to doing what is strategic as opposed to emotional.

Any names for the stinkin' commission? Too bad Un-American Activities was used for an other un-American activity. This time it would be accurate.
