If your iOS device doesn't show the new Notes icon along the bottom row, simply go to the app store and do an update.
Thanks for the heads-up on this. Often, I feel weird leaving either a quote or something off topic here after a recent article by Thom, but it seems that “Notes” may be the place to do this instead.
