"Most people are mirrors, reflecting the moods and emotions of the times; few are windows, bringing light to bear on the dark corners where troubles fester. The whole purpose of education is to turn mirrors into windows." -Sydney J. Harris, journalist and author (14 Sep 1917-1986)

Excellent quote Rod - thanks to you and Thom for educating us. I'd imagine Republicans would strongly disagree with educating the electorate - didn't Trump say something to the effect of "I love the uneducated"?

Oh, Thom does all the great work here. I just agree with him and add a little quote every now and then.

Also, I want to thank him for introducing me to this idea of “wetiko” in one of his recent posts. I read about it in more detail here:

Thank goodness for Thom, Greg Palast, Dems and groups all over the country trying to educate others about the tactics the Republicans use to disenfranchise and discriminate. They show us voter registration and updates are the only remedy. There is no relief or justice coming from the Supreme Court six; one could say they have become criminals for aiding and abetting.

How does any decent citizen try to stop others from voting? So much American blood and treasure has been sacrificed for this right!

Bush liked to talk about evil-doers, and he will never have to go farther than his mirror to find one.

In Missouri, you can check your registration online. Google "check your Missouri voter registration online"

I check weekly.

Be aware that Missouri has changed a lot of voting rules. Some changes make sense, others are dumb, what's important is you can no longer just fill it out, sign it, and mail it in. Read the rules yourself, don't trust me.
