I wonder if every headnote written by this one court clerk was so deliberately untrue to the text of the cases to which they were attached that they changed the whole spirit of several laws to the advantage of corporations. And how many lawyers and judges over the years have either lacked the diligence to read on further, or simply wanted to accept a short summary paragraph as fact because it was just what they were hoping to be true?

The way legal error is ordinarily and properly reversed, I believe, is for a lawsuit to be filed which issues a challenge which is then adjudicated by a court with jurisdiction and fought until the issue is settled and can no longer be appealed. With the current Supreme Court, this issue would almost certainly go the wrong way, despite logic and justice. Which is why the court must be dramatically expanded and rid of extremist fanatics and reactionaries.
How effective would it be if every State passed legislation to define what a corporation IS and what rights it is CONFINED to having. If it breathes, reproduces and bleeds, it has the right to contribute a limited amount of money to candidates running for elected offices. If not, it doesn't. Prolly not exactly the way Hawaii and possibly Montana are doing it to limit the power of Citizens United, but Thom, you can straighten this out for us. Thanks for your revelation.

As I recall from his earlier statements on his tV show,/ The clerk of the court was a former chief executive of a Rail road.
I'm sure further in the book he'll cover this as he has in the past.
