“O, yes! The ruling class are worthy of study.

The natural history of the ruling class is of

fascinating interest. You begin with interest,

you proceed with awe and admiration,

you deepen into hatred, and you wind up with

contempt for the nature of the beast.

You realize that - The Capitalist Class is the

Meanest Class that ever grasped the Reins of Power.

—— James Connolly, “Our Rulers as a Study,” 1915

I agree that the people at the top are into greed. To them the money isn't a necessity, it's a way of keeping score. He who dies with the most toys, etc.....

Beyond the ultra rich, we truly will not be able to move those in the party who are ideologues. There are some very prominent Dems that have figured that out. FINALLY! Now I think you'll see the effort focused on those we can reach. We know from the surveys and polls that there is a certain percentage in this country with common sense goals. I see the administration speaking to THEM; they do it with their choices of policy and personnel.

The Republicans have never been good at looking at the big picture. The climate crisis and covid are forcing us to further part ways from them. Their narrow agenda will literally kill America. People will fight for the future. That is what this country was founded on. So put up your "dukes" and pick an issue. I know I have.
