This comment by Thom should be used in a campaign ad by Democrats, because it hammers away at the class divide. Voters instinctively sense the class war, and Democrats need to show they are going to come out fighting.

When Democrats fight, people vote, and when people vote, Democrats win. Here in Illinois, robber baron Richard Uihlein left the state in a huff when he couldn't keep J.B. Pritzker from getting reelected. Now he's Florida's problem.

All these disgusting pigs have moved to Florida, including Alex Karp,CEO of Palantir when the people in Colorado found out who he is.Palantir, for those who do not know is a surveillance company, that accumulates data on all of us. They can tell you when you last wen to the bathroom. The surveillance state, yet there is no pushback.

Nothing captures modern American politics better than calling a taxpayer-funded settlement slush fund the ‘Anti-Weaponization Fund.’

It sounds like something a corrupt government in a satire movie would create right before the third act collapse.

The craziest part is that even some Republicans are looking at this thing like: ‘Guys… maybe don’t make it this obvious.’

This was my piece on it:

What I would really like to know is how was this money "found". My impression was that money spent by the federal government had to be appropriated by congress. So, when was this money appropriated by congress?

The deeper issue here isn’t even Trump specifically. It’s what happens when every side increasingly believes government institutions are weapons instead of neutral referees.

Republicans think the system targets conservatives.

Democrats think the system protects wealthy insiders and authoritarian behavior.

Independents increasingly think the whole thing is a rigged loyalty network.

That creates a dangerous feedback loop: Once people stop trusting institutions, they stop caring about process, ethics, or consistency. They only care whether their tribe is winning.

And historically, countries get unstable fast when politics stops being about governance and starts becoming revenge psychology.

Do you think America’s institutional trust collapse is reversible at this point?”

And yet so many seniors are MAGAts, surely there is scant evidence of intelligent life on Earth.

William,it is amazing. Talk about "shithole" countries,I think the people in other democratic countries have labeled the US as a " Shithole: country with a " nazi" president.

This is not the country I grew up in.. The country I was born in was flawed, for sure, discrimination abounded, on the base of race and gender and economic/social class,

WWII was a great leveler for social class, but race and gender discrimination persisted, then slowly, all too slowly race and gender discrimination, did not disappear, but were ameliorated and abated some, but now it is all back with a vengeance, worse than before. The inequalities are greater than before.

It is very sad, but I can only blame ourselves. We who have tolerated this system, that have stood by and bolstered it, are to blame.

This is what happens when you become too successful, you become fat and lazy, lose your survival skills and needs.

The Roman empire did not fall, it twinkled out of existence until the Vandal Geiseric and his horde of Christian Vandals, administered the coup de grace.

Every Empire, civilization suffered the same fate. It is a law of nature; birth, growth, adolescence, old age (decay), death. What once took thousands of years, only takes hundreds of years today, thanks in part and in whole to improvements and advances in technology and information.

We need to call this what we mostly don't, won't or can't say - THIS IS AN IRREMEDIABLE, INCURABLE MENTAL SICKNESS THAT ALL REPUBLICANS HAVE AND DELIBERATELY PARTICIPATE IN.

Yes, all Republicans have a human version of Mad Cow Disease. Let's not pretend - all Republicans have it because they are doing it ON PURPOSE. Cows can't help themselves.

These kinds of people making these kinds of decisions are COMPLETELY INCURABLE. This is not doom and gloom - it is right there smack in our faces and the non- existent media will never cover it because they are IN ON IT. The media enjoys the suffering - money can be made from it.

The buffoon's "Thug" fund is just a delayed payment for the J6 terrorists' terrorism in 2021.

Its purpose?

To ensure that, given their guaranteed future pardons and their automatic lottery-sized, reward monies, they'll happily stand by, as long as the moronic traitor and Xi doormat can fog a mirror.

Ready to piss and sh*t inside whichever Federal bldg. they're told to.

Ready to hurt.

Ready to kill.

43% of Whites, Elon, and 80% of Rs want this. Need this.

#Vote the Russia-backed R scum out.

The plutocrats who fund the Republican Party want their elected puppets to keep the Epstein files hidden, prevent the IRS from auditing their taxes, ensure the SEC is unable to prosecute insider trading, and make taxpayers reward the violent insurrectionists who tried to destroy our republic. Are we prepared for the moment when these plutocrats undermine the November elections using the armed militia that they are funding?

My favorite part of the 1993 movie "Dave," with Kevin Kline and Sigourney Weaver, was when Kline's character, the US President, sat down with his cabinet at the big table and actually worked out budget cuts to fund a program for disadvantaged children. If you recall, Klein was a look-alike for the real, evil president who was dying of a stroke.

Some of the old movies are the best for daydreaming about. But who looks like Trump? lol.

There’s Rot In The DNC

Due to political pressure Ken Martin recently elected chair of the DNC put out the hidden but publicly sought autopsy report of the 2024 election, compiled by a Martin confidant

What one can surmise from the report goes to the heart of the organization: incompetence and a sure sign that Martin and his DNC buddies are a lost group of political operatives who couldn’t manage their way out of a wet paper bag, let alone be a guiding light against a fascist takeover of the federal government

Intelligent people like Jamie Raskin are trying to help in the fight but the DNC, no where to be found No leadership means losing to the fascist Nazi Republicans Short term wins like Biden in 2020 is not enough to stem the tide against the CNPP(Christian Nationalist Pedo Party) There needs to be a dedicated long term plan to right the ship of the American democracy At this point the DNC is not up to the task Martin is scared of losing donor $$$ so he's kissing up to special interest groups like AIPAC and cryptocurrency people Who cares about Palestinian genocide, funding the Israeli war machine or bankrupting the country, as long as one can keep the $$$ flowing

The fascist Nazi Republicans have had a decade long strategy called Project 2025 to create an immoral nonrepresentative government This is why WE the People have to take over by organizing a French Revolution 2.0 21st century style is so important Join the growing Indivisible movement to support candidates who are for the WE the People movement and get big money eg AIPAC etc out of politics

I can only hope that someday humanity will wake up and actually be able to view this as an unusual aberration instead of what it is now, merely criminal behavior.

I would hope that power over others and amassing fortunes in order to manipulate for more power wasn’t a goal or perceived as fun to some.

That would mean we have actually evolved beyond this type of thinking and behavior which has been going on for a very very long time in our known history.

And, is the source of 9/10th of our problems as a species.

There is no doubt that billionaires cheat on their taxes. This latest Trump fiasco has rubbed the MAGAs noses in the billionaire-class corruption they voted for - a second time. The super-rich can afford to pay accountants skilled at jiggling the books and hiding money in offshore locations so that underpaid and needy people get sick and or starve to death for lack of public welfare resources. Only a moron would not understand why Trump fired or otherwise drove off 25% of the already short-handed IRS. Who is left to audit returns? Why should the wealthy pay taxes? It is the poor who need all the welfare and handouts, not the rich.

I have long wondered if billionaires ever think about what life would be like once robotics and AI replace human workers. Do they really think life will be fulfilling and bubbling over with happiness, sitting on a throne all day? As Orwell suggested, AI will likely trigger an unintended global nuclear war. The billionaire gotta-have mores will lock themselves up in their subterranean luxury habitats (many already have them). Once the atmosphere clears, the remaining humans will become Eloi - food for the locked-up gotta have more Morlocks. And if you are one of the surviving Morlock techbros, you wind up an ugly cannibal cave-dweller. That is how I see them already.

I think all who are actually keeping up,know everything posted here,The question is ,who is going to do anything about it?. I suspect as usual, the worst of this will continue.
