Until now, the winter rainfall was followed by the Santa Ana winds. This year the Los Angeles dry season extended into the winter months. In other words, the dry season overlapped with the Santa Ana winds, creating a firestorm the likes of which had never been seen before. No rain was a by product of climate change that Hansen had predicted as far back as 35 years ago.
