I’ve gotten a few emails about this, so just FYI, our first of the month Saturday morning session will be next week so we can discuss the election. Nigel mentioned this a few days ago but I should’ve repeated it in this morning Saturday report. Apologies for the confusion.

I am watching grandchildren this morning, so I'll be brief. First, I believe Liz Cheney is the one Trump stocastically threatened with a firing squad unless he also made that disgusting remark about Vice President Harris.

Secondly, I must comment about the doctors and nurses (yes, nurses) who allowed that young woman, Nevaeh (heaven), to die needlessly. I'm a nurse, not a lawyer, but I would accuse all involved of criminal negligence if I were a prosecutor. Your job, and even your license are not as crucial as one human life. I had priorities when I practiced nursing in this order: my conscience, my license, my job. I would have tried to get other nurses to shame the physicians who chose to discharge the young pregnant woman, particularly after they confirmed she was septic (commonly called blood poisoning), which is often fatal even when treated correctly and promptly. The nurses and other colleagues should have been united in their support to save the life, even if the physician were charged with a crime. Unity among healthcare professionals is crucial in such situations.

What are the chances the doctor would have been charged and, furthermore, that a jury would have convicted him? Medical school is difficult and expensive, but why even become a doctor if your oath to "do no harm" is meaningless"? I spent seven years and my own money on my nursing education, so I understand the risk of going out on a limb for a patient.

DO THE RIGHT THING AND SAVE LIVES IN DEFIANCE OF IMMORAL LAWS AND INSURANCE DENIALS. Physicians could form a coalition or union to pool their money and mutual support for legal expenses and make the practice of medicine respectable again. Respect yourselves and each other!
