Respectfully, right now 'our' govt. will not, even if it could, take away the Muck physical empire, which, like most empires, is mostly on paper or digital. It is not clear if Muck or TFG is actually in charge, or if other, silent powers are running this shitshow.

The 'murkan Constitution is a very weak and compromised document when it comes to 'who/what' has real power. No doubt the wannabe monarch TFG envies Muck, and many other oligarchs, and for most all of its life it has grifted and ripped off banks, insurance companies, ordinary citizens, vendors, etc. to amass, again, a mostly paper fortune.

Believe me, right now there are huge silent battles going on between probably 50-150 of the wealthiest males and their power structures, jostling for positions between each other and the few bonkers megalomaniacs at/near 'the top' of the circus. Also, there is a wait-and-see behavior among thousands of others, where allegiances are forming, changing, dissolving, etc. This pathetic drama is a doppelganger for Lord of the Flies. We all know, if we search our memories, of psychopathic, sadistic perverts chewing on each other's legs, forming packs to take down competitors, etc.

The acts of TFG/Muck these first two weeks are real-time, reptile behavior theatre, absolutely the worst example of human weaknesses. This is the madness of narcissistic megalomania. If you watch the TFG artifact, you observe multiple personalities operating almost at the same time, often overlapping. It fervently desires to be the big kahuna, because it sees itself as the elder grifter, cleverest of the clever, the emptiest of the empty soul with the most vicious and indifferent cunning.

As I said, Lord of the Flies.

Wait till the religious cults get into the act like the Catholic church, the Baptists, the 7 Mountain Dominionists, New Apostolic Reformation, Mormon church all will be vying for top placement and dollars in the newly evolving theocracy.

If any of us have grown up around a community that had numerous religious cults, we know how jealous and critical they are of each other. Hyper competitive for souls to manipulate. The Extreme Sport of Injustice holds one person who is not catholic or pseudo-catholic, all of them adherents at one level or another of Opus Dei. The Tao te Ching has a line that says - 'when the moral man speaks, and no one listens, he rolls up his sleeves and uses force.' Read up on slime mold, a fungi that eats its host until gone, and then feeds on itself. They will feed on us until we either poison them, or we are gone and they have nothing left to parasite upon but themselves. Nature is ever powerful, even and especially at the microbial levels.

Slime mold. That's it Mick.

At age 17 I lived under the roof of my uncle, a Southern Baptist preacher, a selfish, racist, intolerant person, and a liar, if ever there was one. He got got banging the church secretary on he desk in the rectory.

One day I brought my friends, Catholic cajuns, to church with me, on a lark, and we sat in the front pew.

He dropped his planned sermon for that day, and lit into a tirade, about demon Catholics, we of course chuckled.

I paid for that later, I didn't actually live under his roof, but with my grandparents in a shotgun cabin on his property, about 25 ft from his house.

Great backstory!

I am Catholic, I don’t belong to Opus Dei and never have. I detest it as an attempt to court the wealthy and powerful and to exercise authority with unaccountable power behind the scenes. OD and the other cults within the church are a cancer on the church. I would be delighted if Pope Francis suppressed all of these groups because they are nothing more than cults of power centered around an authoritarian leader, and their behavior toward their members is not the least bit reminiscent of Jesus.

Mick, I love what you wrote and the style with which you wrote it. Slime mold I hope is the result ‘they’ get and it couldn’t happen soon enough!

I cannot disagree with what you said. Hopefully a few of the 77 million (expletive) who voted for him are seeing their error. I hope we can vote again.

I am not. Not even close. Just an ordinary person, a gardener by trade.

Your link is to a site to call your senators. Lots of luck with that Daniel, ICYMI the Senate Confirmed Russell Vought, Pete Hegseth and all of Trumps nominees, with some Democrats joining the chorus.

There are 53 Republican senators who don't give a shit what anyone thinks except President Musk and co president Trump.

So what now? Suits have been filed, cautious judges have entered temporary injunctons, if not reversed by the Circuit courts, they will reach SCOTUS and we already know how they (Trump has immunity) will rule.

All considered it is time for extra legal action.

You,Daniel, are a good guy, I admire you, but you having served your life as a government lawyer and judge are an institutionalist.

And the institutions have failed the people, the institutions now belong to the dictator.

Yes. We know Melania won't stand against her husband/ Musk's policies. I say even because she is in the white house again with her platform, 'Be your best.' She only knows grifting as 'best,' which has been reported over the past eight years.

Remember how the right burst a hernia when Obama showed up in a tan suit. Remember when the right was all about morality and family values

And now there is a first lady who was a nude "model" (a euphism for a catalog bride or any other name you can come up with for a person who sells their body for sex)

I can imagine that all of the tea baggers and half of the MAGAts are now full of regrets, but as is their style, they and their lord and savior will blame the libs, the trans, the immigrants, DEI, CRT and everything but themselves.

Out of respect for Daniel, and for all of us, we all have been/are something, participated in different things, made some good decisions, some terrible, barked up some wrong trees, etc. We are perhaps the most habituated animal alive, but that does not determine that all our life has to be a waste or a mistake. This is why we have community, to inform and educate and respect each other, as one of us, and we as one of them. As to Kathy the regular Catholic, thank you for sharing that anyone can have a belief system that is not a total waste, and perhaps has given that person a perspective we can respect.

Mick- agree, totally. This whole drama being acted out and going on now in our lives, is the pre-requisite of the new organized crime syndicates that they plan for the future. All billionaires loosely cooperating presently, but will directly compete in their future world plan and aggressively manipulate for control of territories

What I can't grasp is why Musk would want to ban the construction of EV charging stations.

And there are no EV charging stations on Federal Roads, maybe Federal properties, but I doubt that, well there are government motor pools.

Expand full comment

I'm not sure if the details but Musk owns the charging stations which he talked Towns into giving him parking spots for recharging. Is he paying them or did they give it free, I don't know. But other Companies Electric Cars aren't compatible. GM did a deal to be able to sell a adapter. How much more that costs their purchaser I don't know, but Tesla is the only public game in town. I believe the orders stopped universal charging stations that would open it up to Ford, GM, Volvo and others.

Thanks Moon Cat, that makes sense. Musk wants to stop the building of competition. mother fucker.
