Jake Tapper. Eugene Robinson. Kathereine Long. I've been asking talking heads to interview Mike Turner, Thom.

Elon Musk’s Enemy, USAID, Was Investigating Starlink’s Contracts in Ukraine.

"The Lever reported Tuesday that USAID’s inspector general was in the process of investigating its own public-private partnership between Musk’s Starlink and the Ukrainian government at the time that the billionaire’s DOGE crippled the agency. Publicly available information about that probe is still online. An announcement from last May reads: “The USAID Office of Inspector General, Inspections and Evaluations Division, is initiating an inspection of USAID’s oversight of Starlink satellite terminals provided to the Government of Ukraine. Our objectives are to determine how (1) the Government of Ukraine used the USAID-provided Starlink terminals, and (2) USAID monitored the Government of Ukraine’s use of USAID-provided Starlink terminals.”

"Musk has called the agency “evil” and a “criminal organization,” though the fact that USAID was investigating the Starlink activities may suggest ulterior motivations for the billionaire’s vitriol. It’s unclear what the Starlink probe’s status is right now."

Republican Rep. Mike Turner of Ohio was removed from his position atop the powerful House Intelligence Committee, telling CBS News that House Speaker Mike Johnson fired him, citing "concerns from Mar-a-Lago."

Also interview other House Repunlicans like Brian Fitzpatrick, and members of the Foreign Affairs Committee, like my rep, Elvira Salazar.

It is ironic that the only real waste fraud and abuse Musk's DOGE Boys would likely have discovered was associated with Musk himself. Like Trump, he has learned how to use our legal system and social media to hide the crimes that build his power and wealth.

Why MAGAs are not outraged that IGs were fired en masse suggests to me that they are clueless about how their government works. Unfortunately for them, they will eventually get woke, but the cost of their diploma from Hardknocks University will likely rival that of Yale.

The fact that MAGAs voted for Trump, Rick Scott who robbed Medicare, MTG, Boebart, Comer, Jordan, and other mentally and morally challenged people confirms they don't know how the Government, Democracy, or Civilization works.

Now I am really confused Daniel.

Ukraine needs Starlink to pursue it's defense against Russia. And in fact, Musk took Starlink down at a crucial moment when it's drone boats were attacking the Russian navy.

So why would the IG of USAID come to Putin's defense by investigating Starlink working with Ukraine.

It appears that the IG of USAID was a Putin asset, so why would Musk call him Evil, given that Musk and Trump are helping Putin.. They recently lifted sanctions on oligarchs.

Investigate first. Could be the count and the amount as they say in audits.

Was Musk a double agent? Someone needs to ask him.

WASHINGTON (AP) [Oct, 2024] — Elon Musk, the billionaire owner of major government contractor SpaceX and key ally of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, has been in regular contact with Russian President Vladimir Putin for the last two years, The Wall Street Journal reported. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/what-to-know-about-elon-musks-reported-phone-calls-with-putin-and-why-it-matters

To investigate one needs the power of investigation and prosecution.

What we do have is reports from the likes of the Associated Press, and the power of deductive reasoning. Deductive reasoning is how crimes are solved, and how genealogy is traced.

Apparently--- if you read the articles-- IGs had alreeady started investigations and that's why Trump fired them.

The fired IGs are alive and can testify.

Iknow that Daniel, But what doesn't compute is that as far as I can determine the investigations actually would have helped Putin, as they were investigations of USAID's inquiry into the Starlink Ukraine connection.

Not the Starlink Russia connection.

Sounds like the Burisma thing all over.

Just another attack on Ukraine.

I am also, always mindful, of the employment of reverse psychology, and how it has been used to manipulate the opposition.

Lenin said: Oppose what you propose, propose what you oppose and your enemy will hand you the keys to the kingdom on a silver platter.

This USAID, Starlink, Ukraine thing doesn't make sense, except if USAID proves corruption with Ukraine it helps Putin.

You sure you're not a MAGAT? That crap was concocted in Moscow.

It may just be, like I said above, that Musk was accused of kiting his bills, like 90% of audit cases.

You know better Daniel. It doesn't make sense, yes concocted in Moscow, so why then is USAID investigating Starlinks relationship with Ukraine, instead of Starlinks relationship with Moscow.

That doesn't make sense.

IGs have a limited jurisdiction. Probably just audited the Ukraine contract. Doesn't normally report to DOJ unless a referral is warranted.

26 years in the military I am familiar with IG's and their scope.

From the news that reaches me. Musk is calling USAID evil because it was investigating Starlink. Starlkinks contract with Ukraine. That sounds like something that Putin would cream his jeans over.

I am confused in your reply, Daniel, to William's comment above. What count and what amount are you referring to? Sanctions or drones?

I heard a lot of audit cases down through the years and the typical case involved a misrepresentation of expensee (count) and the extent of damage (amount). For example I heard Service Contract Act that may apply to Musk as a government contactor.

https://www.dol.gov/agencies/whd/government-contracts/service-contracts

I didn't assert the penalty but I could debar a contractor form any further government contracts.

Musk is a Putin supporter who sided Putin by taking Starlink down during the battle. Isn't that what the IG was investigating? And that's why the FAA was hit too, as they were lodging a complaint and investigation into Space X's shoddy rockets. I expect any contracts with Besos will be cancelled too while he's at it. Expect any government agencies looking at exploding Cyber Trucks to be destroyed next.

I know that Musk is supporting Putin, but that USAID-Starlink-Ukraine thing confuses me, because the way I'm reading it ,it has nothing to do with Musk pulling down Starlink when Ukraine was using it to target Russian Ships, but it sounds like it to find some corruption with the Ukraine government,if that is the case it helps Putin, and that would be during the Biden Administration. Very confusing
