I'm new to this -me and some of my peers are looking for direction- what is our part in the growing revolution? - our effective participation? We're ready to join protests and the like but we need a more comprehensive plan, and I question whether a team formed with government personnel (Congress and beyond), business and political leaders, and other kindred spirits would be a great step forward --where are our Democrat Billionaires to support us both spiritually and financially? Saving our Democratic Nation is the super-ceding position, as is maintaining our health in general. The two coincide.

By way of introduction, I am a former Sergeant of the USAF who volunteered after protesting the Vietnam War. I am a clinical psychologist with 45 years of experience and most importantly, I am the adult child of Holocaust survivors, therefore I have a unique view of this American moment. I saw it coming when Trump showed his character as he aggressively repeated "You're Fired" on "The Apprentice," then coming down the golden escalator shouting out racist ideation, and all the other moments leading up to the present Republican march to Fascism. Among them are some of my friends, family, and neighbors, who share Trump's MAGA views in spite of hearing and seeing everything I have.

There is always a Mussolini or a Hitler in the crowd, but they are just noise in the wind of free speech - it's my friends, family and American neighbors, who anger and scare me the most because they threaten the freedom of America I have always loved and served, with compassion for all its people. Without the tacit or implicit agreement of the Republican party, none of this could be happening. There is direct aggression and the indirect type, where you can shadow a dark heart by just thinking it and encouraging a disloyal and unpatriotic tyrant to rule us all and to remove us from one of the truly Golden Eras of America-- by weakening and dividing us first.

Dr. Sigmund Freud was initially a neurologist MD focused on what he believed was the ultimately good and self-corrective nature or people-kind. By the end of his life he no longer believed in that dynamic due to the repetition compulsion and more importantly, he saw the Thanatos (dark side) as too powerful to overcome in many people. Although I fully understand, I will never accept that.

So, how about a joining of America's Democrat leaders and others of good heart to produce a comprehensive plan that allows all of us to join in and save or Beloved Nation. I Love America. Tom Moskowitz, Ph.D.

It is heartbreaking to read of this woman who miscarried at 19 weeks of pregnancy. This is close to the threshold for survival, and the fetus may have been alive.

It is a dire indictment of the abysmal medical system in the US. We can guess that she did not seek/receive medical care for her miscarriage because she didn’t have the money; so she delivered the fetus at home, and disposed of it the only way she could think of in the middle of the fear and pain. And now the final injustice—arrest and imprisonment.

If affordable/free universal medical care were enacted, none of this would have had to happen. We achieved this in Canada decades ago. Do we want to become the 51st state? 👎
