I applaud and encourage MAGA to disregard "liberal" health, That they die younger is a good thing for Democracy and all of us, the less of them at the voting booth, the better the world.
Trump has lost the war, and the Trump dream of a hotel on the Persian gulf is a fantasy.
Iran has a greater tolerance for pain, than America. The IRGC and the Ayatollahs, are immune to the suffering of the people. On the other hand, even the hard core Trumpers will bitch when it costs $100 or more to fill their gas tanks. already truckers are paying up to $1,800 to fill up on diesel, and truckers were a core Trump constituency.
Went to the supermarket yesterday, almost all prices have gone up $.50 to #1.00.I can afford that, but not the person in line ahead of me that is living pay day to pay day and buying food on credit card.
Trump's ego needs an off ramp,and there is none, so he claims victory or peace;
There is no off ramp because BB demands that Iran give up its uranium, and that they are not about to do. The daddy, who BB assassinated, was older and more moderate than his son, the new Ayatollah, and the IRGC leadership that BB assassinated. was older and wiser, the younger replacements are more entrenched and fanatic, so there is that.
BB learned nothing from Gaza. You can knock off one group of leaders, and a younger, angrier, more fanatic group will step up
We are being robbed. We are being robbed by billionaires. We have taxation without representation. This money does not belong to the trump family or to the president.
Thom , and all this nothing they do for nobody but themselves. Thinking hunger is a joke, well they haven’t reached close enough to that bottom yet Thom. Crazy, stuff! For, sure, Thom!
We really seem to be ruled by a "Let them eat cake" monarchy that we "chose" at the ballot box. The Trump regime clearly has no interest in governing. Otherwise, the GOP would have staffed the administration with competent people, and not nincompoop sycophants incapable of administering anything or anybody. The Oval Office has been transformed into a gilded Throne Room, where suplicants come to bend the knee to beg for support.
Philosophically, the administration is fascist in the Mussolini sense. Like Benito, Trump thinks he rules the entire world. Leaders like Putin and Xi are subordinates in his deluded megalomaniacal worldview. The EU nations are unruly lieutenants whom he is currently disciplining, so they know their place in the world. The rest of the world is just filled with useless indigenous natives sitting on natural minerals we might need someday.
Because most Americans are well-off, our response to this outrageous affront to our democracy has been lethargic and casual. We too share responsibility for our hungry fellow citizens, and the millions globally who are starving and dying from diseases our ruler withheld funds for. Like many Americans, Trump stupidly fails to realize that if we do not help the Congo get a handle on their Ebola epidemic - it will, like COVID, become a deadly pandemic in search of a cure. Only this time, Trump has so damaged medical science in the past 18 months, that finding a cure may be far more challenging than last time, and many millions more will die.
We need a monumental house cleaning. Corporate-owned politicians of both major parties tend to be the same ones shekeled to Israel via AIPAC, thus useless, if not complicit in perpetuating our accelerating decline. Democrats are burdened with the likes of Jeffries, Schumer, Gillibrand, Booker, etc., each of whom has demonstrated a disdain for actual Democrats, evidently preferring to remain big fish in an evaporating pond. Calls for moderation, centrism, half-measures, incrementalism, tweaks at the periphery of fundamental problems, all the preferred solutions of the consultant class, are calls for failure. Playing it safe has fostered the fascism confronting us today. It’s past time to stop doing that.
I learned that as a mayor. When I came home to the city I grew up in – a place that had lost its biggest employer decades earlier and never fully recovered – I didn't run around promising to bring back what was gone. I didn't tell people we were going to somehow make things go back to the way they used to be.
That's not how it works. And deep down, everyone knows it.
But here's what I also know: the absence of "again" is not a loss. It's an opening. The question isn't how we restore the past. The question is whether we have the courage and the clarity to build something better.
That's true for a city. And it's true for a country.
The systems we inherited – our agencies, our norms, our political institutions – many of them were designed for a world that no longer exists. Some of the things being torn down right now was already overdue for change. That doesn't make their destruction any less reckless or wrong. But it does mean that when we get the chance to build again, we should build something worthy of this moment – not a replica of what came before.
That's the work I want to be part of. And if you are looking to be a part of something like that too, then I hope you’ll consider making a contribution today:
That is a quote from Mayor Pete..
He may never be President, but he talks sense - just s does Community loving Pope Leo XIV.
He gets it - we need to fix the Constitution by writing it again - to match our times, not that of those men (all men, many owning people as their belongings - ie slaves of all colors and ages)
The TRump Administration is treating our military and us civilians like any typical abuser would. Bitch about your weight, don't buy dinner, and drag you to some dumb-ass fight when you'd rather watch a good movie.
The White House has been turned into a project right out of a horror classic like Something Wicked This Way Comes. Grotesque. Corrupt. Satanic. TRump's birthday will be a carnival for the king.
Let's find our own way to celebrate his big 8-0 by fighting back. Tick-tock, Donald. See you in the streets.
No words.

Come on Supreme Court, do your job or get out!

We don't get "again" in the real world.

We don't do that today! -
Well done Pete!
My brother in law came up with a solution for Trump's $250 bill with his mug on it. Let's put his picture on a $3.00 bill.
Tacky, abusive, and so proud of it.....
