European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen called Putin a "predator". Within days, he jammed the GPS on her plane to prove it.
Modi said India wants to move forward with relationships based on "mutual trust, respect, and sensitivity". Meanwhile, Indians were filmed burning Trump in effigy. Another ally and trade partner gone.
Don TRump Jr. said they were the "top of a pyramid scheme" for years. AS VICTIMS!
Representative Melanie Stansbury (D) of New Mexico did not mince words. She called out Bondi by saying the DOJ is in the midst of an "active cover-up". We got John Mitchell, and she could go to prison too.
Mike Johnson claimed Trump was an "FBI informant". He said it right after Trump indicated the Epstein survivors were involved in a Democratic hoax. Tell the Cult that TRump and the Republicans think they are stupid. See you in the streets.
A few comments. Russia is now exporting eggs to the U.S.A, and Trump has not imposed any tariffs on Russia. Judge a person by what they do,not what they say, any belligerent noise that comes from Trump about Putin is performance, don't take it serious. I have an inkling that Putin and Trump have carved up the world between them, at least Technate America and Eurasia.
Social Security payments were not taxed, initially, it is actually double taxation, because your wages and salary are taxed, before your Federal Insurance Contributions Act (SS payments) are deducted, then you are taxed again.
SSA benefits were not taxed until 1984, Reagan's administration of course.
Also anyone who receives a federal government check, or state government in states with an income tax, aren't funding the government, they are simply reducing their income.
Taxes for federal employees, including military, are in reality pay cuts.
1. The BIG news is still Trumepstein. Only need 2 Republican House members to give Trump heartburn. Thom had a great interview with Craig Unger. Turns out that Epstein had 2 Russian women on his payroll who were probably Putin spies and later moved on to Silicon Valley . Epstein worked with Robert Maxwell, as had Trump, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6ynL74WJJo
Unger argues that Epstein's sex trafficking ring was connected to Russian intelligence operations.
He claims Epstein collected incriminating sexual material, or kompromat, on powerful people, including heads of state and media moguls. Unger alleges that some women associated with Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell had potential ties to Russian intelligence and were used to gain access to high levels of power, including in Silicon Valley.
Connections to Jean-Luc Brunel and Russian oligarchs:
Unger highlights Epstein's partnership with Jean-Luc Brunel, a French modeling agent and alleged sex trafficker, who reportedly worked with Russian "matchmaker" Peter Listerman.
These connections, according to Unger, show how Epstein's activities linked to Russia's wealthy elite
.
The power of kompromat:
Unger uses the case of former Palm Beach County deputy John Mark Dougan, who obtained videos from the Epstein investigation, fled to Moscow, and received asylum. Unger cites this as evidence of how valuable and powerful Epstein's kompromat was, even after his death.
Epstein's methods:
In a December 2024 social media post, Unger cited an account claiming that Epstein viewed Donald Trump's modeling agency, Trump Model Management, as a prototype for luring young girls. While Unger writes that it was "widely known" that Epstein was making sex tapes, he admits he has not seen any himself and that witnesses who know are not talking.
Epstein's black book:
Unger discusses the names found in Epstein's notorious black book. However, he clarifies that being on Epstein's contact list does not necessarily indicate participation in criminal activity but rather reveals the powerful figures Epstein and Maxwell cultivated.
Were any of the co-conspirators cops? Members of the media?
Were all the Guiffre co-workers at the Mar a Lago spa, where she worked as a minor, questioned? The customers? The owner? If so, where are the investigation reports?
2. Trump associates are funding attacks on the Congressional Republicans seeking to open the Epstein records. Hedge fund billionaire John Paulson has been accused by Republican Representative Thomas Massie of being named in Epstein's "black book." Massie made the comments during an interview on Democracy Now! while discussing the bipartisan Epstein Files Transparency Act, which he co-sponsored with Democratic Representative Ro Khanna.
in Epstein's 2008 plea agreement were:
Sarah Kellen: Named as a potential co-conspirator and allegedly helped schedule massages and keep records of potential victims. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm11780745/news/
Adriana Ross: Named as a potential co-conspirator who allegedly helped organize Epstein's predatory sessions. Adriana Ross (also known as Adriana Mucinska) was a Polish model and one of Jeffrey Epstein's key assistants, named as a potential co-conspirator in his sex trafficking operation. She was allegedly involved in recruiting young girls for Epstein and assisting with his illegal activities. According to statements from other Epstein staff, Ross helped remove computers and other evidence from Epstein's Florida home before a 2005 police raid.
giving Trump heartburn doesn' t solve the problem. We need a majority in Congress including a filibuster proof Senate., and also to impeach Alito and Thomas, Gorsuch and Kavanaugh, if for nothing else than lying to the senate during their confirmation.
Is the House going to impeach Trump without a Democratic Majority? No
If it does will the Senate remove him without a 60 vote majority? No
Will any effort, get past Congress without 218 Votes? No. Will any action
by congress have any chance of passing the Senate with it's present representation? No.
Would Trump veto it? Yes.
Let's take the Discharge Resolution, to release the Epstein files, ignoring the fact that Bondi has had her peeops scrub the files of Trump and Republican names.
What will it achieve, legally, other than putting into the record and public, the names of the perverts, who as it stands will be only Democrats.
Our only hope is that Rep Massie follows through and using the speech and debate clause, read aloud the names, on the floor, of all of the women that Epstieins victims have already provided.
I am not in denial at all Daniel, I just don't live in a fantasy land, and promote forlorn hope.
Jeez -- just have to get started to entirely screw up the agenda. Investigations. Subpoenas. Defunding.
We were disappointed when Biden's child tax credit, for example was defunded. So many others like that.
It's possible that the problem solvers are fed up. POSSIBLE.
If we do nothing, it won't happen. According to most experts, it takes a lot of pressure. All politics is (and are) local. So if members like Brian Fitzpatrick are shown the writing on the wall, it CAN work.
This Tumpepstein is only one issue where Republicans are wavering. Trump Ukraine/Putin policy is highly unpopular. "War" is an emerging issue. Medicare.Medicaid. Social Security. Lots more.
That Ukrainian issue is more imporatant in Parma, Ohio than in sy, the Confederate States.
Tarriffs are more inportant in the Midwest, cow country. Etc.
Because you can't answer the facts and issues I raise?
You are tossing a lot of coins in Rep Brian Fitzpatricks basket, because he has cosponsored apiece of union favorable legislation, but consistently ignore the FACT that he is misogynistic, anti woman, and has consistently voted anti abortion.
Just because a Rep takes a Liberal position on one piece of legislation, doesn't make them progressive or even liberal. It will take more than Fitzpatrick co sponsoring one pro union bill. Tbat doesn't prove that he can be turned, in fact his votes on abortion are proof that he is a culture warrior
Yes Tariffs and elimination of SNAP and cuts in Medicaid are important in Midwest cow country, but guess what Daniel, they aren't blaming Trump, because they are glued to Fox and right wing Social media.
Curtis Nebraska is an example, their local hospital is closing prematurely, because of Trumps cuts on Medicaid. A reporter visited the Senior Center, interviewed the people, they don't blame Trump or the Republicans, the blame the hospital.
Farmers who are taking it in the shorts, are still MAGA, the culture war has them by the balls.
Even Government employees fired by DOGE are still Trump humpers, they blame it on DOGE not Trump.
We are dealing with a cult in and out of congress. And you think that you can deprogram a cult.
Nay, the solution is a national uprising, the institutions that held us together have been compromised or taken apart.
Even your precious Judicial system. SCOTUS will not go against Trump or rather Project j2025, and you know it.
Newsom won a victory before Judge Breyer, about deploying troops in L.A. and what did the 9th Circuit court do, but, stay the lower court and give Bondi time to appeal it to the Supreme Court.
This is a pattern repeated over and over.
If a lower court rules for the people, it is only a temporary stay, giving Bondi time to appeal to a favorble district court, and if the district court rules against Bondi, it issues a stay giving Bondi time to appeal to SCOTUS and we know how that will turn out.
The Judicial system has been co opted, Judges are either MAGAts or afraid.
REmember when you told me that the US Marshals worked for the courts and would not do things like escort pimple faced big balls into Treasury, well wrong again. They have been spotted assisting ICE .
If anyone is in denial Daniel it is you.
The law is not a bulwark against Trumpism and MAGA, neither are the institutions which are not totally in MAGA hands.
All we have left is an uprising, and Trump wants that, Pritzker nailed it. Trump wants an excuse to call and Insurrection and martial law.
I see only two routes ahead, submission and obedience or a mixed war.
I don't think that even the Epstein Scandal if it exposes Trump and billionaires and politicians, which it won't, will shift the balance.
There is an overwhelming majority of males in MAGA that think the age of consent should be lowered to 13, and fantasize about child rape, child porn is a huge business. Cops are always busting child porn rings and perps.
BTW, a ray of sunshine, Pacific governors, Washington, Oregan. California and now Hawaii are coming together in an interstate compact of sort, starting with their own shadow HHS and CDC to provide vaccines and mandates. There is more than that though, the negotiations and talks are wide ranging and secret. But this is a good start.
Hopefully it will broaden nto an intersate compact and include Illinois and other blue states.
Our only chance right now is a shadow government, we are fools to rely on institutions.
I've seen a shorter version of this on MSBBC. He does what I do, he lays into the Democratic leadership for being so weak and cowardly. What we need is leadership, risk takers, people who will charge into the breach, not wait to see if it os safe and they won't get hurt or suffer any inconvenience.
Not the kind of people one would want to go in combat with.. a Susan Collins type, too many of them in the Democratic party
I don't know if you saw or read the actual end of the essay. If not, he says that defunding is the only viable choice for the Dems and that if they aren't willing to do it it's time for new leadership. Every so often someone more or less in the mainstream makes sense. Perhaps it's too late though I'd rather (metaphorically) go down swinging rather than dying on some modern day Bataan Death March.
Besides Thom, Ben Meiselas did an excellent interview with Spencer Kuvin, who represented some victims. At the time that Epstein got the deal of the century, he mentioned AUSA Marie Villafaña, who had prepared a sex-trafficking indictment against Epstein that was not filed. If so, trafficked to whom?
It seems a wee bit (sounds just like Trump) too late to blame the Rujsskies. However, it's bound to mollify some of the dimmer lights on the MAGA tree. I don't know why Trump is concerned tin the first place: many of his pals he parties with are going to be on the list as well, so he isn't going to have a diminished social calendar. It would, however, reduce the chances of winning the Nobel Prize, having his face immortalized on Mt Rushmore, or having a carrier named after him.
Not that I needed it, but Thom's post is more than adequate to justify never voting for a fascist Republican again.
Democrats have usually gotten my vote, not because they were more talented speakers, managers & leaders, or were promoting superior platforms. It was because they were simply the lesser of two bad options, morally speaking. I would have voted for Eisenhower, but was too young to vote. I did vote for Nixon instead of Humphry as punnishment to Dems for putting me thru 2 combat tours in Vietnam. That turned out to have been unenlightened, so I went back to being blue after that.
Well, if anyone knows about evil, it's Pee Wee German.
At the moment, Russia is pretty much a depleted force. Europe would best the shite out of them at the moment. It's going to be at least a decade after the end on the Ukranians War before they're a big threat to to the EU again.
Trump will never remove taxes from SS. He needs every penny he can get to cover his Big Bull💩 Bill giveaway to the 0.01%.
"At the moment, Russia is pretty much a depleted force. Europe would best the shite out of them at the moment. It's going to be at least a decade after the end on the Ukranians War before they're a big threat to to the EU again."
Lithium is a psychiatric medication primarily used to treat and prevent episodes of mania in people with bipolar disorder. It is considered a "gold standard" mood stabilizer for the long-term management of bipolar illness.
In addition to its main use for bipolar disorder, lithium is also used to treat other mental health conditions:
Major depressive disorder (MDD): Lithium is effective as an "augmentation" agent, meaning it is added to a patient's existing antidepressant regimen when the antidepressant alone is not providing a full response.
Schizoaffective disorder: Because this condition includes both mood symptoms and psychotic symptoms, lithium is used alongside antipsychotics, particularly for the mood-related aspects of the illness.
Schizophrenia: While not a standalone treatment, lithium may be used as an add-on medication to augment the effects of antipsychotics in some cases, especially when there are prominent mood symptoms.
Suicidality: Lithium is known for its unique anti-suicidal properties and can reduce the risk of suicide in people with mood disorders.
For all applications, lithium has a narrow therapeutic index, meaning the difference between a therapeutic and a toxic dose is small. For this reason, patients on lithium must undergo regular blood tests to monitor drug levels and kidney and thyroid function.
1) Without the United States, NATO has a population of over 600 million. Combined; they have over 2 million in uniform and a modern military; France and the UK have a combined nuclear arsenal of over 500 warheads, and missiles that can reach Vladivostok. While this is a pittance compared to Russia, all it would take is 10% to reach their targets and Russia would be a slag head: MAD; Considering The Ukraine, with a population of 40 million, 1/15th of NATO, has fought Russia to a virtual standstill for almost 3 years, Trump isn't going to "hand over"a damned thing to Putin. Short of mutual obliteration, there's no way Russia — or anybody else — would come out ahead. It would come down to who had the better bomb shelters.
2) In re: Miller... Sméagol has more hair. He's also more appealing.
3) That O'Keefe found out what was already common knowledge necessarily comes as no surprise. That the MSM are ghosting the story isn't much of a surprise either.
4) My darker side wonders if Trump is considering carving up the world alongside Putin and Xi rather than standing against them — seems the coward's way out. I'm also pretty sure both Putin and XI are smart enough to (hence leaving Trump out) realize that in a real shooting war there would be no victor and no spoils.
This is kind of off topic, but I wonder if this is a nation wide movement, if so it hurts poor folk and immigrants.
Peace Health (Sisters of St Joseph) will no longer accept cash or checks for payment, only credit cards, which is strange because credit cards charge the vendor a surcharge, unlike cash or checks.
I can see obedience in advance to ICE.
I googled why and the answer was operational and financial management, that is nonsense because payment with credit cards costs anywhere from 2 o 8% paid for by the vendor.
Off topic but I notice the MSM have pretty much buried the booing greeting Trump at the US Open today. Instructions were given for them not to report any negative disturbances and like well-trained dogs they followed orders perfectly.
Also.. We could really use a National Registry of Epstein Associates. Our national security depends on it. Until their identities are revealed, hostile foreign actors will continue to have leverage over some of the most powerful people in our country. Once secrets become public they no longer carry anything of value in terms of extortion. I can't stress this enough - our national security/ wellbeing is being held hostage by the secrecy of the Epstein files. ALL stakeholders are impacted by this.
Well, thanksThom for being the best with the rest of the news. We, really need to know these things Thom. Crazy, as it all is. Thank you, very much, Thom! Kennedy, really? I, want my health care and democracy, Thom! Come, on, already.

Fascinating news about lithium and Alzheimer's Disease - thank you.
Thank you.
5) E.J. Antoni sounds like an incel-in-training.
Smeagol also had an excuse---he was spellbound by the magic ring.
Miller is just a bloodthirsty psychopath who is going to need a lawyer.
If not an undertaker.
Ah, the War Department! Sounds like overcompensation for having/being a thimble-dick.
You know how the hotels and car rentals want a card? I'm guessing the small print says they can add charges down the line.
New law trying to stop "surprise charges" could be a factor. Maybe hoping it will be repealed.
Hmmm, now that is a thought. Thanks alis
"Trump has decided to simply abandon all of these American efforts to support NATO and Europe. This is very, very, very bad news for world peace."
How so, can you explain or back up?
Already NATO has caused one war.
bc
The Hartmann Saturday Report is our TRUE national newspaper. No one is doing it better in these times. Period.
Share it.
Thank you, Professor Hartmann. You are a huge help to our ability to understand the world.
Well, thanksThom for being the best with the rest of the news. We, really need to know these things Thom. Crazy, as it all is. Thank you, very much, Thom! Kennedy, really? I, want my health care and democracy, Thom! Come, on, already.
