I don't understand why. So, why do police wear uniforms, name tags, and no balaclava? If crime syndicates begin doing this, kidnapping people off the street, how are you supposed to know if these people really are ICE, or criminal kidnappers. What's more, what if a person thinks they're thugs, pulls out a gun in self-defense, and somebody ends up dead? What is the threat in being easily identified as a law enforcement officer, regardless of which agency?

I've alwys taken the position they should, and administer Miranda, but they don't because they probably think they are all illegals, who have no status.

Under cover they don't. We shared a building with DEA....never in uniform.

When I lived in Maryland, worked in DC, one of my neighbors infiltrated a Salvadoerean gang...had been a DC cop. They'd make mass arrests...simultaneously in different locations.
