I don't think that Trump or anyone can purge the voting roles NATIONALLY, nor can the SAVE Act or an Executive order be NATIONAL law, and in that regards even the Supreme court of the US, inserting itself into state elections, including gerrymandering is in violation of the 10th Amendment.

It takes a constitutional amendment to change laws and procedures, for voting, marriage, guns,.

Red States can and will abide by any law passed by congress or ruling by SCOTUS that fits their needs, but Blue states aan and should disregard and ignore.

The problem is that We The People, have been conditioned to accept SCOTUS as the absolute final word, and the same with Congressional laws, and even the best of us, based on emails i get from the Bulwark and Meidas Touch, etc have fallen into that trap.

William, we go under the name United States, but we are actually the wild west and now a fascist state. They actually ARE doing it. The question is: what can the dems do about it?

The GOP is a hive-mind Keyser Söze, based on their annihilation of the Black vote.

Söze's the mythic [possibly fabricated by another character [Verbal Kint ]} Turkish crime lord.

Keyser is at the center of "The Usual Suspects" (1995).

However, the GOP may, that's MAY, be relying too heavily on 100% White racism.

We'll soon find out !!!

The Republican notion that taking race into account when redistricting is racist assumes that minorities do not experience discrimination any more. Yes, and they don't experience it any less, either. If there were no racial discrimination, Blacks and Whites would vote the same way by party, but of course they don't--far from it. In this way, party affiliation becomes a convenient fig leaf for racial gerrymandering.

No, they know minorities are more likely to vote Democratic. That's why they're trying this.

If they succeed in stealing another election it will be the end of democracy in the USA. It’s like the dems are in a physical fight but just keep taking body punches. Why?

Shame on the DNC & elected Dems, especially so-called leaders, for not making these tactics the main story in their communications and forcing msm to report on it… the Rethugs are now openly fascist but the Dems are complicit…

There is no complicity of the Democrats in this effort - almost every Deocratic leader has deplored the Rethug effort. But I agree that the Rethug "fixing" of the vote is the #1 need to clean up before November - We need Democratic vote counting machines in every precinct to counteract ther present counting cheats which have been well publicize by "This will Hold" and other investigations etc .

Based in Thom’s research, the failure of Dems to shine a light on these fascist tactics is why I believe Dems are complicit, unwittingly so, but they MUST begin making this a huge story that everyone understands…

These fascists do not play by any accepted rules or standards . They are thugs endorsed by the right wing Supremely illegal Supreme Court in- ( justices). We know who they are . Along with widespread education on ALL of these dirty tactics to kill democrats voting rights we need to work on legislation to change the parameters on John Robert’s League of Liars.

Many of them have violated the few rules intended to keep them straight as

alleged justices.

They should go first .

But we need to be in charge of new rules for the court.

They sure as hell don’t have the integrity to do it. They’ve proven that many times over.

Trump's Mother's Day message has a truly disturbing entry buried within: where tRump refers to Bloomberg economists having (I'm quoting exactly here) - ...a "terminal" case of TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME.

You have to give Rs credit for messaging discipline. The fact that "TDS" keeps getting carted out tells me they are planning to use it as an excuse someday. The DHS put out their "The peace of a nation no longer besieged by the third world - America after 100 million deportations" tweet, which can be interpreted to mean they want 100 million less people walking our streets freely. The number of folks they call "illegal" immigrants is nowhere near that number. But add it to the 80 million people who voted for Biden or Harris, then it makes sense.

I'm concerned the real reason they want voting records is to get the list of 80 million folks who voted against him, then have RFK Jr. declare TDS a legit mental illness so that they can all be dealt with, somehow. Maybe sending us to forced farm labor camps (aka "Wellness Camps that RFK has touted) to replace the migrant workers who they've kicked out of the country? Or worse?

What has never been made clear is what individual voters can do prior to an upcoming election to ensure they are validly registered to vote. Eliminating voters solely on the basis of having names on a list of convicted felons is surely illegal. If they have SSNs, DOBs, and other identification data, that should clarify voter identity. Then there is this law stating that STATES run elections. Of course, Fascist Florida and Texas can and have colluded.

At 79, I can and do vote in Florida by mail. Nothing like standing in a long line in tropical heat with arthritis. But this year, I had to re-register for mailed voting - new DeSantis scam. I had to get online and request that a ballot be mailed to my house. Lots of Boomers and Silents are computer illiterate and do not even have a PC with internet access. Many likely ignored the card mailed from the county elections office and are clueless that they will no longer be getting ballots automatically like what used to be the law.
