CLEARLY

Clearly many people in this country do not understand what a psychopath IS. You can see the remorse among the Trumplican voters that are just beginning to LOSE BIGLY. The losses will be huge from unemployment and where we depend on tourist dollars. Why take the chance of crossing our border?

Clearly they thought someone would always protect their constitutional rights. Humane judges want to protect everyone equally under our laws, but they will become irrelevant or at-risk themselves. We are living under a psychopathic dictator with an Administration filled with sickos just like him.

We told them CLEARLY this would happen. The radical right told them. Project 2025 was pretty damn clear!

Keep teaching Thom.

ICE = American SA [Storm Troopers]

Maybe gibbets are coming. Defenestrations?

Meanwhile, most Dems in Congress are sedated; comatose, even.

Some have given up, thrown in the towel, capitulated, have they not, Sen. Schumer?

Habeas corpus is a legal principle that protects individuals from unlawful detention. The term originates from Latin, meaning "you shall have the body." It allows a person imprisoned or detained to challenge the legality of their detention before a court. It ensures that authorities can't hold someone without just cause and requires them to present evidence or justification for the detention. This principle is a cornerstone of justice and individual freedoms in many legal systems worldwide, including Canada and the United States.

America needs a complete exorcism.

We need Father Merrin [Max von Sydow,] and Father Karras [Jason Miller.]

The 'corpus' in habeas corpus is DEAD. If 330 million 'murkan citizens sit on their hands, 5 million outlaws will punch them in the face. Maybe it is time for all of us to read, or re-read, The Prince via Machiavelli. No, not the Little Prince.

Another noteworthy children's book for adults to read is 'Wind in the Willows.' So simple and so astoundingly adroit, it depicts humans as common animals, and shows the qualitative differences between the good, the bad and the foolishly ugly. I am serious about these two reads, which will not be available if you are in an ICE detention dungeon.

People who gravitate towards these kind of jobs are bullies and thugs.

ICE, CBP, DEA, FBI the worst. Part of the reason is the training and purpose, they are trained to be bad asses, use force, to shoot and as a consequence they look for an excuse to put their training and purpose to use.

A Stanford Study in the 1960' worked up a psychological profile of cops and criminals. Their conclusion a cop could have become a criminal and vice versa, except that circumstances were that they chose a difference career path.

I've known a few LEO in my life time, and an ex son in law was a prison guard, and there job alone has stilted their opinion, they believe that everyone is a criminal but they just haven't been caught

My dad was an assistat DA and a DA. Special prosecutor. It's true that police have to be reactive and too many are overly aggressive, but bad apples can be identified and removed befolre the barrel is worthless.

My mother in law was a WAC in WWII and worked for the Baltimore police....

I know for a fact that the feds use MMPIs and other tests that may identify abnormal agression. I've perviously discussed usze of lie detectors and other tests....

FBI agents used to be lawyers and accountants. I have a cousin who was head of an FBI department until she retired. My dad's secretary was married to the former head of the international division. Virtually all are college graduates. In more recent times, they accepted many former cops....

When my wife worked for the justice department we socialized with many agents from many agencies. You take people as you find them.

My experience is that the feds -- and that includes the Federal Protective Service -- live in a fishbowl, are continually evaluated.

This will be resolved when folks like Tom Homan are brought into court, and are found in civil contempt for disobeying a judge's order.

Trump's immunity doesn't cover civil contempt committed by his underlings.

If you had told me 20 years ago that the Gestapo would be arresting and imprisoning people in the USA without cause I would have laughed. I'm not laughing anymore. True, but now we can make the best out a bad situation. Trump/Musk are "way past their skis" and vulnerable. Our national sovereignty has been lost. We lost the cold war. Patriotic Americans of all stripes should oppose that.

Last night MSNBC showed several Republican House members validating complaints about Trump/Putin and Musk. Those are the folks we need. I keep sayin' that

22 Republican senators, dozens of Republican House members voted to fund Ukraine. Many of them call Trump a liar about Putin.

On another site, some people say their SS checks were not deposited, Trump should be held in contempt in seveal courts. https://www.justsecurity.org/107087/tracker-litigation-legal-challenges-trump-administration/. They aren’t obnoxious or ignorant about some things but believe the republican mantra of Harris was too leftist, “both sides do it “ etc. to the detriment of our democracy and they still downplay the illegal, regressive policies of this administration. I am not sure what it will take for those people to wake TFU but staying in the Faux news bubble and relying on MSM sites who sane wash the administration lies continues the damage. Maybe now 'murkan vanity will feel what its own victims have experienced for so long. Native First Nations folks number less than 2% of our current population. Some estimates put the genocide at more than 20 million across more than 200 years. Black African folks, kidnapped and herded like cattle onto small boats for weeks, only to be sold off to lazy white landowners for unforgivable purposes - forced hard labor, beatings, torture, rapes, murders, housing befitting farm animals, constant verbal and physical and psychological denigration. Asians, Mexicans, Meso-Americans, Irish, Italians, all manipulated into subservient roles to build the illusion of the USA.

I could go on, but why? What goes around comes around. The innocent are swept up with the guilty, by the guilty who have no shame and no honor. Does this make what is occurring OK? Of course not, but the Thomm Hartmann avenue for communication is perhaps the most open, welcoming and available channel for ideas and observations and strategies out there today. And yet I view so few concerned 'murkans reading, calling in, or writing on several available venues.

Fear, intimidation, harassment, extortion, invasion of privacy, scapegoating and attacks against the most vulnerable are the methods of control Nazis use, then and now. Brownshirts, belligerent militias, trolls, bullies, gestapo-type enforcers, media attackers and misinformationists abound on the pathetically addictive 'social media' tropes that most 'murkans have capitulated into using as 'news.'

Are we actually a nation of callous sheep? Are we actually infested with treasonous fellow travelers? Are we essentially nothing more than barbarians in tricked out costumes and fancy vehicles? What do we most relish for consuming our time? Sports, guns, guns, guns, violence, fictional entertainment, glamour, real estate, posh food and a million cooking shows, belittling each other on ambush-laden gossip sites? Drugs, drugs, drugs. Lousy diets.

I am no fan of the NY Times, but the morning after the Nov.5 election, the headline read: 'This Is Who We Are.' If we indeed have souls, we should search them now, if we can even find them. You do not have to be locked inside an ICE cage to be a prisoner in your own life.

This is who we are: Three coal waste dams in West Virginia failed, killing 125 people and injuring 1,100 more in communities downstream of the dams., Google Buffalo Creek, Mine disaster, people who lived down stream, knew that the dam could break, it was an earthen dam, Everyday the men would get up, trudge to the coal mine, risking death, the same people today vote Trump and against Green energy factories and employment.

I just watched a report on a community that lives in Cancer Alley, that part that stretches from Baton Rouge to NOLA. This area contains 20 petroleum refining and chemical plants, built on what was once plantations.

Butted up against the fence are communities, that have suffered and will suffer premature deaths from cancer. virtually all families are affected, one woman lost all of her family to cancer. they can smell the noxious fumes when the weather and winds are just right, they permeate the clothes, the furniture and can't be aired out.

The families have lived there for generations, since reconstruction, and are proud defiant and are not going to leave, but the refineries and chemical plants are not going to leave either, regardless of legal action and TV exposure.

Thus they accept death by cancer or respiratory disease, in their defiance.

My fathers family settled Ashley County, AR and my great grandfather sold 160 acres to a carpet bagger name of E.S. Crossett, who build a saw mill and town on the property

After WWII, the company and the business and homes that it owned were sold off, and eventually bought by the Koch Brothers, and they built a pulp mill, paper plant - Georgia Paific.

It earned the reputation of Cancer Capital of the US. Most of my family moved, during WWII, to the western side of Cancer Alley, Port Neches, Texas, Those that stayed have all died of cancer, my aunt and 1st cousins, and I have or had a "passel" of send cousins in Crossett and every family has suffered cancer. And yet no one thinks of moving to a more healthy environment.

People choose to live in tornado alley, cancer alley, the cancer capital, hurricane central

in flood plains, on the San Andreas Juan de Fuca fault

This is who we are indeed, there was maybe one or two men on the Titanic willing to give up their seat on a lifeboat, and certainly no women.

Naturalized citizens are next. As # 45 Trump tried. In 2010, Operation Janus was launched to expand the Department of Homeland Security’s (“DHS”) efforts to identify individuals with a final deportation order who naturalized or obtained legal permanent residence status under a different identity. A 2016 DHS Office of Inspector General (“OIG”) report determined that there were 1,029 such cases and identified the lack of digital fingerprint records as the main cause of the problem. DHS identified another 953 cases of naturalized citizens with prior deportation orders under other identities. The OIG report also noted that fingerprint records were lacking in approximately 315,000 cases of non-citizens with final deportation orders or criminal convictions and that in about 148,000 cases Immigration and Customs Enforcement (“ICE”) had not yet reviewed and tried to retrieve and digitize old fingerprint cards. The OIG report noted that as of September 2016, United States Attorney’s Offices had accepted two Operation Janus cases for criminal prosecution and declined twenty-six others.

Under the first Trump administration, the government significantly increased its capacity to investigate U.S. citizens and pursue denaturalization cases. In 2018, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (“USCIS”) announced that it intended to refer approximately 1,600 cases to the Department of Justice (“DOJ”) forprosecution and the creation of a new office dedicated to reviewing and referring denaturalization cases to DOJ. DHS also diverted funds from USCIS’s budget to ICE in order to conduct investigations of naturalized citizens. As a result of these investigations, denaturalization case referrals to DOJ increased 600 percent over

the last three years.10 In February 2020, DOJ announced the creation of the Denaturalization Section within DOJ’s Office of Immigration Litigation which will be “dedicated to investigating and litigating revocation of naturalization.”

Tucked among the priorities listed in his Day 1 executive orders was a one-line reference to enforcing a section of immigration law under which the government can revoke an immigrant's U.S. citizenship if it was "unlawfully procured."

In the red-baiting 1950s, the U.S. government used its considerable power to strip citizenship from immigrants it viewed as political enemies – labor leaders, journalists, or critics of the government accused of being Communists.
