I also feel our democracy has been erased by AIPAC and the power of lobbyists for decades if not longer, and democracy as a practice has been applied selectively by the US over its entire existence to those of a specific race and class distinction. Ultimately, there can be no democracy in a country that thrives on perpetual war and aspirations of empire and that is a wholly bipartisan endeavor of the donors and ideologies shared by both political parties.
