Impeach or Perish: Why Republicans Must Choose Between Trump and the Constitution
Donald Trump and many of the people surrounding him have become explicit threats to what’s left of our democratic republic. And now they’re saying that my (or your) simply saying those words may be enough to get us locked up or otherwise legally, financially, or physically destroyed.
"Radical Left Violence” Is the New Big Lie — And It’s Deadlier Than You Think

Is America Sleepwalking Into The Dictator’s Playbook?
Most jobs have a “playbook,” a sort of instruction manual or checklist for how to do the job right, whether it’s running an assembly line, piloting an aircraft, or redoing a house’s plumbing.
The GOP’s Addiction to Lies: The Death of Truth and the Rise of Post-Fact Politics
Recently, I mentioned that when I was 13 years old I went door-to-door with my dad for Barry Goldwater. Three years later I was living on my own in East Lansing getting tear gassed and beaten for demonstrating against the Vietnam War and continuing segregation in the South. In other words, I’ve seen — and participated deeply — in both the right and left…

Saturday Report 10/4/25 — As the wealth of the top 1% of Americans hit a record $52 trillion, young people’s support for the Trump administration is in free fall...
— Swing district voters are increasingly upset with Trump and the GOP about exploding grocery prices. Two-thirds of Americans earning less than $30,000 a year describe the increases as a “major source of stress” in a recent Navigator Research poll. Over half (54%) blame Trump himself. When wannabee Brazilian dictator Jair Bolsonaro was indicted for imitating Trump’s January 6th attack with his own followers (at his suggestion) storming Brazil’s capitol building on January 8th, 2023 after losing the 2022 presidential election, Trump retaliated against Brazil by slapping a punitive 50% tariff on their exports to the US. The result has been a 21% explosion in the price of coffee, exacerbating the impact of the 13% increase in the price of ground beef and 11% rise in the cost of eggs. When asked who’s responsible for these far-above-the-inflation-rate increases in food costs, the majority of all Americans blame Trump himself for his random, incoherent, and destructive (my words, not theirs) economic policies. Republican elected officials seem to be seeing the same polls and are taking action, although not to lower prices but instead to get ready for this fall’s electoral races: with a pivotal race coming up this November for governor of Virginia, Republicans in charge of that state —

Just a real experience, small but important. My daughter has been trying to buy a portable "tiny house" in order to move myself and her special needs adult brother into their backyard. We really need to do this because at 78 yrs old I'm literally falling apart. Their land and home are paid off so they were going to use that for collateral for a loan in order to buy a "home on wheels" to move into their backyard. Even though all the adults that now live in their home have good, steady jobs and they have lived in that county for over thirty years, it has been a fight from the beginning. Another paper to sign, another hoop to jump through another....another...well, my daughter is an RN case manager at the University Hospital here and she leaps through tall hoops in a single bound, yes she does! I have been volunteering for the Democratic Party in my county. Our state is totally Blue. We have the trifecta! All my kids and grands are Blue too. So, long story short, it is down to the wire and she asked a state representative who she has been friends with and sung on the Praise Team at her church for years, yes years. She told me that he wasn't interested in helping even though she was a constituent and "besides Jesus is coming again soon"! Now don't get me wrong I consider myself a Jesus-follower too but it seems that the Bible we are reading isn't the same one our friends and relatives are reading so I asked her about his Party status, although I already knew you see...to easy. "Why" she said, "he's a Republican." Now you have to understand that being Blue in a Blue state I knew how hard this was for her to pick one of those out of...well, we won't go there. All I could says was "never ask a republican for help, they don't care!" Tomorrow I'll call one of the Democratic state or congressional representative I know. Good grief, Charlie Brown!
S'TRUTH.
