Isn't a decent health care system and the way to pay for it the ultimate "Love thy neighbor as thyself"? First of all we deserve it. But mostly, you cannot expect people to get a good education, work their whole lives, and create and raise new Americans without it. It's logical. It is not logical to connect health insurance to an employer. You could argue it isn't fair to the employers and employees alike.
