Following a 16-year bet Republicans laid down in 2006 to block Postal EVs, DeJoy just told Biden to go screw himself: he’s going to buy fossil-fuel vehicles for 90% of the fleet instead of electric
The fossil fuel crime syndicate is, in my opinion, the most dangerous and powerful faction in the world. Just ask Steve Donzinger.
No doubt big-tech is giving them the vapors, but I'm sure the two kingdoms will eventually (or already did) breach those pesky antitrust laws and iron out a mutually beneficial pillaging of the people.
To those we entrust with the sacred privilege of representing our best interests as a whole, and yet chose to openly sabotage such interests on behalf of the self, greed and power-lust - well, fuck right off.
Why is mainstream media missing this? I like to think I keep up pretty well, but I completely missed the fossil-fueled fleet/Repubs not confirming Biden's appointees scenario. All we can hope for is that the project is so herculean there's enough time to ameliorate.
Herculean? Think Merrick Garland's nomination to the Supreme Court. The mainstream media covers what's flashy and sells, sometimes with very misleading headlines (Biden to Widen No-Knock Warrants - Body of story: He's going to start banning it from various Federal depts. that have law enforcement duties.) I suspect your reply was a dig at the MSM, so you no doubt already know that to get a view of how the whole government machine actually operates, look to Politico, The Guardian, Mother Jones, KOS and Daily Beast. There is a lot of dross in the latter two, but occasionally the big stories break there first and as of late, they carry Thom's daily missives.
These vehicles will increase atmospheric CO2 content. We say we do not like it, but what should we try to do to keep C02 levels and the other engine outputs low??
Are there specific values that can be cited for exhaust output for the fossil fuel burners versus electric cars and other more desirable Post Office vehicles.
Who are the individuals, groups and government organizations that actually can do something about this???
