Hi Maverick,

From these lines in your post: "the U.S. has a unique problem with the gun issue. It seems more likely that your nation will erupt in some kind of civil war, than that fascists will take over. I wonder if the "quilt" that Paul speaks of in his comment isn't being fabricated using squares of mass shootings, interspersed throughout your country's many states?" you seem to be indicating you are not from the United States yourself. Please don't misread my inquiry as criticism; I am more than happy to have the insights of non-American commentators and observers, but may I ask where you are from? Wherever that may be, welcome to the conversation.

Hi John. I'm in Canada, and regularly remind Thom's readers of the fact whenever it seems appropriate. We have our unique problems as well, such as a national media company that's funded by our tax dollars, but controls the message on behalf of all the WEF graduates in our federal cabinet (about half of our governing party, I believe, are WEF's students.

Yes, I've seen many of your posts but somehow missed any that said where you were from. I appreciate the response, and as I said, I appreciate the insights of non-Americans on these issues. We need sense talked into us!
