Or maybe it was because they all had acquired an undying respect for what a difference even the poorest "Joe" could make. Americans deserved compassion and health care then and we deserve it now.
Sadly, I have heard a conversation where someone in the healthcare field was talking about not being able to afford healthcare despite working at a large clinic. This is wrong any way you look at it. I am glad Thom chose this subject for his new book.
