The persistent pattern of this set of characters to knowingly do wrong, then to cynically circle the wagons, is so alien to common morality it feels as if they don't belong to the same human race. I don't think "power corrupts" is adequate explanation, even though power allows for greater harm, and necessarily requires vaster callousness re: the victims. These (mostly men) place hands on bibles and swear oaths that they already know are meaningless to them. It's a wonder they don't laugh all the way through the ceremonies. One thing they have in common with Trump is they obviously despise, not only the rest of us, but America. Your mention of the Bilderbergs is not absurd in this context: Barr and ilk have no more loyalty than honor. The whole Cecil Rhodes thing is pretty creepy, too. Bill Clinton, seller-out of America via NAFTA and GATT etc., Rhodes scholar ring a bell? How about the Bohemian Grove "Liberation from Care" cult? Fat cats and war criminals of the world party to celebrate the mass misery they have the power to wreak, and the grand camaraderie to decree themselves absolved, no tedious rosaries required. By the same token, they know each others' evil, and maybe that's the key. You don't tell on me and I won't tell on you, and we'll all keep those pesky idealists and do-gooders off each others' backs. I wouldn't bet that they have any feelings about "Left" or "Right." The "Left" is just more inconvenient, now and then. It's not ideology: its who's a member of the Club that's runnin' the show; the Big Show of everything. Somebody like Barr may be the worst kind: a mid-level coattailer always so hungry for a favorable glance from the real masters, and therefore even more ruthless in practice. I don't usually go on like this, but the question is so legitimate: what does make these amoral creeps tick?

Unlike the Davos crowd, who are media whores, the Bilderberg creeps just keep creeping.
POWER & CONTROL is the game. The money is how they keep score.
